  1. Uh, wut? It's pronounced the same way. Noah has been a force on defense this half. I really think he's going to have a breakout year this season.
  2. They do, they have 2 5 day layoffs next month, I believe. The NHL really needs to revisit that. Good start. I saw Barker played the last game as well. When did he come up?
  3. Well this looks a lot like the Skiles and Boylan team from last year and year's past. Way too many jump shots, especially from Tyrus. Very ugly first half.
  4. I haven't seen this posted anywhere, but this may have been the greatest opening to a broadcast ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cnk63tzbfc&feature=related
  5. Fox really has some bad tandems. Sam Rosen is almost on the Mike Patrick level of annoying for me.
  6. Because it is so much harder to run through the likes of Wisconsin, Iowa, Northwestern, and Iowa, because they are legendary powers. We can debate which conference is tougher and/or have more depth, but it would be a short discussion. Besides, Ole Miss would be the Big 10 second best team, period. Have you seen Ole Miss play? Of course not, cause you're allergic to tough hard nose football. Thanks for the laugh. I despise the Big 10 and I don't think it's a good conference at all, but Ole Miss isn't a very good football team. I'm sure OMC would be brutally honest and say that there's no way they would be in the top 4 in the Big 10.
  7. The MAC East is an absolute joke. Ball St. will be a great measuring stick for NIU next Wednesday. Regardless of what happens in that game, Jerry Kill has done a great job of making them respectable again after that terrible year they had last year.
  8. You best stay out of the game thread in 2 weeks! I've been wondering how I should handle that. :-)) You can have your way with the Bears but we have to give you your 1st loss of the year on Sunday. I'm looking forward to it. Should be a real good game, especially with our walking wounded getting to heal up over the bye week. It definitely ought to be a good game. By the way, how's Justin Harrell doing up there? He's from Tennessee and I've been curious if he's getting playing time or not. He was on the PUP list for the first 6 games of the year, but he's been in practice the last full week and I think he's expected to play this week. Good news because we need the depth at DT, especially if Jolly gets suspended for his offseason excursions. Harrell was hurt last year too, but when he was healthy he was solid. Nothing spectacular, but he was pretty good against the run. We're going to need that if we want to beat your guys.
  9. Hinrich makes perfect sense at Golden State. I think he'd fit in well there. This trade makes so much sense on so many levels. If we could rid ourselves of either Hinrich or Thabo and add someone like Harrington, I think that really makes ourselves a legitimate playoff team.
  10. It's not that, but the injuries are piling up on him. The wrist injury at tOSU, the knee injury last year, and now a foot injury in the very first game this year. Hopefully he's not banged up too bad because that team would be a very fun team to watch in the West with everyone healthy.
  11. That was me who edited that, not David. http://www.nba.com/bulls/schedule/ Hmm.... wtf... http://www.nhl.com/ice/schedulebyweek.htm?navid=NAV|SCH|Main Fri Oct 31, 2008 DALLAS CHICAGO 8:30 PM ET 7:30 PM CT RIS,FS-SW,CSN-CH+ (HD) Yeah CSN+, not CSN.
  12. I'm excited we have like the next four games on national TV.
  13. He's playing for a ton of coin this season. Start him... then watch what he does :) We have. He gives you the same performance whether you start him or don't. I really think he's more comfortable when he comes off the bench. The guy can score. Like I've been saying all offseason, working with Rose should only help him as he should get many more open shots with a slasher at the point. I heard that Hinrich, when he was in, was exclusively at the off-guard spot. He's already made more positive changes to the structure of this team than Skiles and Boylan did all of last year.
  14. This team is going to be MUCH more fun to watch this year compared to last.
  15. A few student parties there are in trailer parks. Haha, awesome.
  16. How is Ames not the worst?
  17. Always so bitter. If we lost to "a team that plays like retards," what does that make us?

  19. Get NHL 09. Not only is it a phenomenal game, but it's probably the best way of learning how hockey works and the players in the league.
  20. WGN local or national? I assume local since the superstation/America rarely shows games on weekdays, which really doesn't make sense seeing how I know for a fact they televised Tuesday and Wednesday night Cubs games in the summer. Show the damn Bulls game you idiots.
  21. Look at Tennessee's record. People are saying they have a defense as good as the 2000 Ravens' defense and the best team they've played is a very mediocre Vikings team. I do think they're good, but they haven't played anyone yet. The next few weeks for the Titans should be interesting.
  22. Couldn't have said it any better myself. I don't think Meph has heard the great quote by Herm Edwards.
  23. Nobody is arguing about blaming the loss of the game to the NHL because of the shootout, what people are saying there shouldn't be a shootout period. There should OT until the game is decided. I wouldn't be opposed to say; 1OT: 5 on 5. 2OT: 4 on 4. 3OT: 3 on 3 (or people prefer, play the 4 on 4 from the start of the first OT to the end of the game) And you play the 3 on 3 till the game is decided. A gimmick should never determine the outcome of the game. (and yes they should also goes toward futbol) Football games are not decided by a field goal kciking contest. Basketball games are not decided by 3 point shooting contest, or dunking contest. Baseball games are not decided by homerun. Hockey should not be decided by a shootout. It's stupid, and I am pretty sure if the NHL survey the players about how should the game be decided, I am confident that the majority of players in the NHL would say OT till the game is decided. Well Cynosure is counting every single shootout loss as a Hawk win somehow, so that's why I said that. For what it's worth, I don't really mind the shootout. Your idea doesn't sound bad either, but the shootout caters to the casual fan which is what the NHL tried to do after the lockout.
  24. I would too. As would I.
  25. Yeah, that's how I feel about Illinois and the rest of the year. Just finish this terrible season already.
