  1. If Puig and Heyward count as CF.....why doesn't Cespedes?
  2. Gase is gone unless he chooses to stay in his current position. He had the SF job. He's bettered his resume by doing what he has done with Cutler.
  3. Nepotism like a muh [expletive]
  4. Missed fg that looked like it was blocked but wasnt blocked That was literally the worst kick I've ever seen.
  5. That was a nice play! We ran that in HS.
  6. Did he just say, "oh good, it's outside the endzone" re: that flag for holding?
  7. Can't run that play without a peelback block. Surprised the Bears are actually getting these calls. Haven't all year.
  8. I didn't think Cutler had a chance to get that running, unless he was willing to take a hit. I'm ok with that throw.
  9. I'm not even sure slowness is as much of the issue as just terrible decisions. It's not. But on the rare occasion he does catch the ball, he's not good enough (read: fast) to do anything with it.
  10. So [expletive] slow. Just give me the fastest guy on the team back there.
  11. I like my RBS and returners to be black. My DTs Samoan.
  12. Gotta challenge that spot earlier. McClellin good vs run so far.
  13. And safeties, corners, OLBs, and DLine.
  14. At that point, you had a QB that hadn't thrown the ball since 14:23 was left in the 4th quarter. If anything, you gotta run because you expect rust. If you threw on 3rd, I understand throwing again on 4th. But to try to have your QB throw a pass for the first time in an hour of real time on 4th down to win/lose a game is iffy at best.
  15. Don't expect to beat Ohio St, Iowa, and Michigan....but gotta start finding a way to pull out these close games. Heartbreak over and over again.
  16. Defense can't make plays. Not just this game. Not just this year. Historically. They are 2 defensive playmakers from a top 20 team.
  17. He's one of the top 5 draft eligible RBs. Really good get for Wilson and IU. Also, goes to show how underrated this OL is. They've played together for the most part for 3 years now. And Tevin Coleman got a lot of credit for his 2000 yard season, but these guys are doing it again with Howard. Spriggs is a top 50 pick. Feeney is a top 100 next year, if he stays in school.
  18. 1. Zack Greinke- Dodgers 2. David Price - Cubs 3. Jason Heyward- Yankees 4. Chris Davis- Cardinals 5. Justin Upton- Tigers 6. Johnny Cueto- Red Sox 7. Yoenis Cespedes- Orioles 8. Alex Gordon- Royals 9. Jordan Zimmermann- Blue Jays 10. Jeff Samardzija- Giants 11. Mike Leake- Orioles 12. Denard Span- Cubs 13. Kenta Maeda- Mariners 14. Wei-Yin Chen- Pirates 15. Dexter Fowler- Nationals 16. Daniel Murphy- A's 17. Scott Kazmir- Rangers 18. Ian Kennedy- Padres 19. Yovanni Gallardo- Angels 20. Ben Zobrist- Yankees
  19. Is Parra really going to get that much? I definitely don't want to pay him that much with Heyward also coming here. I'd rather play Heyward in CF than Parra, and that's a lot of OFs with Parra, Heyward, Soler, and Schwarber. I like Bud Norris as the reclamation/6th starter. One of my low key targets I'd like to see the Cubs add. I honestly have no feel for his contract. I almost went 2/12 there but thought it was light. In this scenario, we'd deal Coghlan. Need to add that in my scenario, I guess. At any rate, I kind of figure Parra as the 4th OF, but finds his way to 450 PA. Forgot about Coghlan too. But I'd be cool with that if Cogs is traded and at the 2/12 contract for Parra as the 4th OF. Arrieta, Lester, Teheran, Maeda, Hendricks, Norris is a good rotation if Maeda is any good. Could be better, but pretty realistic. Schwarber, Heyward, Soler, Parra is the best offensive OF in the league. And the IF isn't bad.

  21. They are doing the weirdest rebuild ever. I'd probably still rather have Teheran though, it's close.
  22. I'd love Jackie Bradley. Not sure what the Cubs have that the Red Sox would want. He seems like a good 2nd piece to get a starting pitcher. Unless the Red Sox want a prospect for him, I don't see a way the Cubs can reasonably make this happen.
