  1. Looks like Peralta to the Cards.
  2. I'd offer 2 and a team option for Kazmir. Really like him (as I've stated before) as far as the mid tier starters go. Not sure what it would take to get Jackson, but big fan of acquiring him if its a salary dump, though if it's cheaper....he and Dexter Fowler are pretty much the same player.
  3. Duke still has the tiebreaker right? They should let an allstar team of those 5 play Florida State to make the championship game more interesting.
  4. Yeah Sproles is a straight line runner. Fast as hell, but Thomas has wiggle and sets up his blocks much better.
  5. He's not good at football anymore either.
  6. Well, having a final shot to win when one of your best players is scoreless and only plays like 7 minutes due to fouls on screens is about the best you can hope for. I honestly felt like IU was the better team. Crean failed in trying to match their quickness instead of playing his best players. Not sure why Williams wasn't playing in the 2nd half. Especially when Etherington actually got on the court. Both Perea and Fischer were effective in the first half with their size, and neither played until Fischer got in late in the 2nd.
  7. 4 points ahead of everyone in the East. 2 points away from being 8th seed in the West.
  8. I've seen much uglier. But actually wearing those for an organized sporting event is wonderful. I'd buy one if I was a fan.
  9. Guys generally only make one leap. This is probably what Yogi is going to be, sans small, incremental improvements. True. I shouldn't have said "leap".
  10. Ratliff looks to be on track for next week, I believe. Heard nothing on Briggs in weeks though. Wonder when he can be expected back.
  11. Yeah, I didn't think Vonleh would be this good, this fast. He actually has been pretty weak finishing. Not that he goes up weak, but the ball just isn't going in on as many of the bunnies as they should/will. I don't feel he's as polished or as hyped as Zeller was as a Freshman and he stayed. I'm guessing we'll get a 2nd year out of him and that's it. Of course, I might be clouded by how amazing next year's team would be if he continues to get better and Yogi makes another leap.
  12. Well, I'm hoping they do well. If the Bears get in, it's probably as a wildcard. And to do so, they could use those 2 losses by Carolina. Would also rather go to NOLA in the 2nd round over Seattle.
  13. I just think that NO can beaten by other good teams.... even at home. Still holes in their pass D. They can't win an overwhelming number of battles on the outside with their WRs. Put your best cover guy on Graham to get physical with him and key on the underneath stuff to the RBs.
  14. Not sure how much Blackwell gave them trouble. Guard penetration gave them trouble. Blackwell was just there to clean the mess. And Vonleh had a 18 points and 9 boards against him. IU got to the rim at will and dominated on the boards.
  15. I like Cruz, but if they want a power bat for the OF, couldn't they just have kept Soriano for cheaper? Paying him and whoever they would sign. Corey Black wasn't a "must have" prospect.
  16. I feel like the Saints are doing it with smoke and mirrors this year. They are near the top of the league in total offense. Run game isn't very good. Brees is going to throw for over 5000 yards again, but they don't seem as potent as years past. They are Of course, Graham is a beast, but Brees is just dumping it off to RBs other than that. Colston has 2 TDs and 3 games of 80 yards receiving. 3 games in a row he had under 20 yards. Their #2 WR, Still has been a non-factor outside of only 3 games. Lance Moore has missed 3 games and been a non-factor in most of the games he's played. Their defense has been strong, but the personnel doesn't seem like anything special. And they haven't really played many elite offenses. Bears, Dallas, Falcons and Pats are the best O's they've played, and none of those teams have been all that consistently good this year (except maybe the Bears).
  17. Atlanta is tanking for Clowney. There's no way they're this bad this fast.
  18. Probably better than IU fans wanted him to be (though Purdue fans may be happy about that). Kid is a rebounding machine. He's a short-timer in college. I'd say there is a good chance Purdue beats IU this year regardless of what defense is played, considering the only matchup is at Mackey. But Painter would be well-advised to play zone against IU. As should pretty much every team at this point (and likely all points, this team is not going to be a great outside shooting team). After last night, I think you gotta mix it up. IU dominated the boards when Washington went to zone. At one point, they were like 11-30 shooting but had a 13-point lead because of all the 2nd chance points. I think teams can only stay in zone if they are really good at it. Syracuse is going to kick IU's asses playing zone. But other teams might be playing into their hands by opening up the offensive glass.
  19. So, Shawn Kemp's kid isn't very good.
  20. He is being integrated into this point-forward type of role but I don't think he handle is good enough to justify it at this point. Definitely not. But he's turning the ball over in the halfcourt, when he's not even playing the point. He just needs to slow down with the ball. Dribbling, shooting, passing. It's all too fast for him right now.
  21. I think Hollowell has every IU turnover.
  22. I stand corrected. 27-11 rebound advantage.
  23. Why anyone plays man-to-man against IU, I'll never understand for the rest of this season.
