  1. Britton has been great this game.
  2. Trestman coaching like he's scared of Cutler turning it over.
  3. Can't play any better on D and Cutler has made no mistakes, but down 6 and they get the ball.
  4. Gotta get Forte outside. Wrs block better than the OL.
  5. [expletive] Podlesh. Jay should have run for the first.
  6. Is this how they're going to call this bitch?
  7. If Rodgers got hurt, can't you use your third string QB even if he is inactive? Yeah but if he plays no other QB can come back in.
  8. Joe Buck is not on cue for this game. Also, I'm lying.
  9. Teddy Bridgewater was amazing last night. That drive before half-time was perfect throw after perfect throw. Marcus Smith was just as dominant on defense, put himself in the first round conversation if he comes out.
  10. Guessing that makes them more likely to go Bridgewater over Clowney.
  11. Word is Rex will be back in NY as they try to get him more talent. I'm also guessing Tucker will be back and will be allowed to run his own scheme. I think Emery has cited the lack of continuity with the offensive side of the ball (bunch of different coordinators under Lovie). S o I don't think he wants to turn over the DC this quickly, especially when the DC hasn't run his scheme or had his pick of players to fit his scheme.
  12. I just can't buy that It seems to me they get gashed when they have to put an extra guy in the box. Because teams are running away from the safety (Wright) and destroying the LBs. I think in a 2-deep look, the safeties can read run and come downhill. Of course, that requires Wright and Conte making tackles, which has also been bad, but not as bad as it has been when there are 8 in the box and all 8 are wiped out at the line of scrimmage. But like I said in the original, this will probably only mean 6-10 yard runs instead of 60 yarders.
  13. The one thing that stood out about the previous game, is the Bears were really able to get a pass rush against GB. Granted, it wasn't against Rodgers, but obviously it was a sack that injured him. I think this could be a good game for Peppers, who can have success against the rookie LT. Ratliff, has been a handful recently, and could be a nice added dimension to the defense. My biggest concern is if Cobb is there, he's been a matchup problem for the Bears in the past. He's also Rodgers' security blanket for quick passes, which I'd imagine we'd see a lot of to help him avoid getting hit. The threat of the pass w/ Rodgers, I think helps the Bears. They've been getting killed with an extra guy in the box. I think you play the safeties deep, a lot of nickel, and give up the 10-yard runs in lieu of the 60-yarders.
  14. The Finley part was a joke. He's not playing. He's on IR. At this point, I'm expecting the Bears to lose. I don't know that you can carry momentum for a week, but the Packers thought their season was over, then the Bears get demolished. Then they get Rodgers back, then they find out Lacy can go, then maybe Cobb is back. The Bears have done a decent job against Rodgers though in the past. And hopefully, Cutler having talent around him this time will make a difference against probably the worst GB defense he's seen. But it seems like they have everything going for them at this point and the Bears took a huge step back after the beatdown last week.
  15. Eddie Lacy is also playing this week. Rodgers, Lacy, Cobb with a good shot to play. I believe Jermichael Finley is fully recovered and ran a 4.4 in practice and will suit up. Ray Nitchske and Paul Hornung are also said to be 100% and are 25 years old again somehow.
  16. How can the reward be greater than the risk? Still a long shot to win a Superbowl (may be underdogs in the 1st round if they win). If they're just going to win 1 game, I don't see how that's work risking 2014 for.
  17. Hope they got some fake boobed groupies ready to show him their dugouts.
  18. They have a limited pass rush with him, without him they virtually should get no pressure on Cutler. They have sneaky and opportunistic corners though, which scares me. That's what worries me also. It's what they've done to Cutler since he's been here. They blitz, and the CBs make it tough for the WRs to get off the line and then jump the quick routes.
  19. Looks like Randall Cobb will be back tomorrow. I'm imagining Rodgers will play too. I'm also just going to assume Cutler will have a terrible game, get let go in the offseason and the Bears will be back to talentless QB play for the rest of my life, because....only my teams.
  20. They have a limited pass rush with him, without him they virtually should get no pressure on Cutler. They'll blitz to no end. And based on Sunday night, they'll blitz on the right side of the OL.
  21. That and he's extremely talented, maybe the best QB prospect to come out since Peyton Manning. And he took a 2-win team to back-to-back 11 win seasons. Oh and for the "beat up on a weak division" stuff......in 2012, he had one of the best teams in the NFL in his division. In 2013, he's beaten Seattle, SF, Denver, and KC....arguably the top 4 teams in football. He's not a prospect anymore. The totality of what Indianapolis has done the past two seasons is fine, but Luck has been an average quarterback. I wasn't arguing that he was good. I was arguing your insinuation that there's no reason why people should think he's good. Lol

  23. I'd say Luck is having as good of a year as last year. Not as many yards but he's not throwing as many passes either. His completion % is up, TDs are the same but he's thrown 9 less interceptions and his QB rating is up 10 points. Team has almost the same record also. I meant that Luck has been outperformed by Tannehill (very slightly), not that he wasn't having as good a year.
  24. My Week 1 predictions. Wanted to see how they have turned out. 1. Broncos did go undefeated for a while, but the Chiefs went longer. 2. Carson Palmer should be the 9th to go over 4000 this year. After that, need Flacco, Tannehill, and Eli to go for over 270, 293, and 335 respectively. If Romo plays this week, he will go over 4000 and only 2 of those 3 need to. Only 1 over 5K though, with Brees needing 220 this week to join Peyton. 3. No bye for the Cowboys, could still win the division. 4. Correct. LeSean McCoy will win it. My initial thought was McCoy, Charles or Spiller. The first 2 are 1-2. 5. Dallas not quite at NO levels, because of a good start. Bears run D is historically bad. 6. 1 of 3 correct. Ravens could finish at .500 though. 7. None of those guys are having the year they had last year (maybe Morris? IDK). RG3 and Kaepernick have definitely been outperformed by Tannehill. Luck has too statistically. Weeden? Yeah, not so much. 8. Only 2 over 15 sacks. Nobody else over 13. 9. Jags had a decent stretch after a long losing streak. Won't win 7. But could draft 8 if they win this week. 10. Wrong. Top safety at 9th overall. Standings- Not bad in AFC (easy), with only the South wrong. Miami has good chance at final WC. NFC could have all division winners right. WC all wrong.
  25. Games that mean something. Cleveland @ Pittsburgh- 1pm ET Baltimore @ Cincinnati- 1pm ET NY Jets @ Miami- 1pm ET Tampa Bay @ New Orleans- 4:25pm ET St Louis @ Seattle- 4:25pm ET Green Bay @ Chicago- 4:25 ET San Francisco @ Arizona- 4:25 ET Kansas City @ San Diego- 4:25 ET Philadelphia @ Dallas- 8:25 ET Other games (who cares what time): Denver @ Oakland Buffalo @ New England Carolina @ Atlanta Jacksonville @ Indianapolis Washington @ NY Giants
