  1. Amazing!
  2. No. I don't imagine he'll be in Cleveland next year either. He kinda dogged it all camp and I don't think they'll want to deal with it anymore. He may go to a better situation than Cleveland next year, but I don't think you can count on him actually doing anything because he's 1 mistake away from never playing again.
  3. wot? The schedule is also more difficult early on. Granted, not a lot of big time scoring teams before the bye other than GB and NE. But the Bears had most issues with run D and they play top 7 run games from last year in Buffalo, SF, NYJ, and GB all in the 1st half. Carolina and NE were also top 11 in rushing last year.
  4. Yeah, only 1 RB. Gronk was my 6th round keeper. I didn't really want Sanders, but that was the day after Welker's concussion and the WR group had been picked over badly. I reached for Vereen in the very early 3rd, gambling that he stays healthy and gets to 70-80 catches and takes some carries away from Ridley.
  5. Haven't done 10 teams in a while so not sure how deep other teams are. My only concerns are if Ryan has an injury to Julio Jones again or if Rivers has an injury to Keenan Allen. Both could be guys that put up big numbers or you could get 2013 Ryan and 2012 Rivers. Also a lot of young RBs, but between Bernard, Ellington and Stacy you should be able to get 1 stud and 1 decent RB, though I'd like this group a lot better in PPR.
  6. 12- team PPR, same for both of these leagues QB- Matt Ryan RB- Matt Forte WR- Randall Cobb WR- Emanuel Sanders TE- Rob Grontkowski FLEX- Shane Vereen K- Mason Crosby D- Arizona BN- Andy Dalton, Kendall Wright, Lamar Miller, Andrew Hawkins, Khiry Robinson, Eric Ebron, Amendola QB- Andrew Luck RB- Andre Ellington RB- Lamar Miller WR- Calvin Johnson WR- Jordy Nelson TE- Dennis Pitta FLEX- Kendall Wright K- Gostkowski D- Arizona BN- Sammy Watkins, Ben Tate, Khiry Robinson, Jarrett Boykin
  7. Not terrible, not great though. Looks like a 4th-8th place team on paper. Lot of dependence on young players to step up in their 1st-3rd years (Bell, Allen, Floyd, Sankey, West).
  8. Really good team.
  9. 1 Addison Russell PA in 3 days. Worst week ever!
  10. Yeah, like I said earlier in this thread, rather keep Frey over Hayden. But this may mean going with 5 CBs (maybe a mistake w/ Tillman's potential injury problems), but hopefully that 5th will be younger than Hayden. Was figuring Brown was gone. Ola, Leno, and Britton have all shown they can play OG and OT. Britton is better than Brown, the other 2 are younger (Ola's at least been better too).
  11. Not hot. Butchy. Blonde, white chick who acted like she wanted to be a black dude, but is now married to a black guy. Really weird.
  12. Good pitching day. Pierce Johnson has allowed just 3 ERs in his last 7 starts, but has walked 16 in those 37.1 innings, but with 46 strikeouts.
  13. I woke up, looked at the Iowa boxscore, saw Soler leave early and "injury" never popped into my head. I knew it was a callup. I don't know why I knew, with his injury issues, but I knew it.
  14. How many millions did he get in his bonus? $3.9m, which is enough to give him the opportunity to move on from his high school girlfriend and not enough to keep her locked down in perpetuity. So stupid. Baseball groupies are the hottest. I used to work with this girl that dated a minor league baseball player that I never heard of. She was absolutely smoking. On her first day, she walks into the cafeteria we had and literally every single person in there (men and women) stopped and stared at her while she walked thru. About 5'8", blonde, perfect shape, gorgeous smile. The chick who was a glorified lunch lady (but halfway decent looking for a 50 year old chick) admitted to having a girl crush on her. A group of lesbians tried to hit on her every day (one trained her, the other 2 were a couple and he friend). What about this qualifies her as a "groupie" and not just a "girlfriend"? How did she become a girlfriend?

  16. Yeah, really what's the point? Nobody plays the 4th game. Get at most 2 series in the 1st game. Just cut it down to 2 games. Keep them same time of year. Give 2 weeks off before the opener. If the NFL wants to make money off this [expletive], then televise some scrimmages against other teams. Hell, put them in stadiums and make people pay for them. As someone who's about 1200 miles from Bears training camp, I'd much rather watch Cutler in a red jersey practicing situational football (red zone, 2 minute drill, etc) against another team than watch David Fales throw to Josh Bellamy for 3 hours.
  17. Team loses starting QB for the year in the third preseason game. It'd be a story no matter what team and what QB. Yeah, not sure what else you would expect. Former Heisman winner, back to back ACL injuries, Rams were a dark horse for a wild card...seems like a newsworthy story to me. Last #1 draft pick to get a megadeal before the slotting rules began.
  18. What happened to Upton's power? I could possibly deal with .205/.280 if his ISOP was still around .200 like it was in the AL.
  19. 3 more cuts to make before this time tomorrow. I'm really hoping to see Kelvin Hayden get cut. He hasn't been very good for 4 years and is 30+ now with no real game action since 2012. Tillman, Jennings, Fuller are cemented as top 3. McManis has played well enough to win the 4th CB spot, IMO. I'd give the 5th and/or 6th spots to younger players like Frey, Hurst or CJ Wilson.....with Al Louis-Jean on the practice squad.
  20. Well...ok...you're acting like Kyle Long turned out to be [expletive] though. I think hes been above average, but I still have a problem with taking a Guard in the first round of a draft for a variety of reasons. Especially when you have other players that are universally considered higher ranked. We're paying the sins for Angelo being a turd in the draft, but Phil hasn't exactly been the remedy. Sure he's had a few hits the last 3 years (Alshon, Long(?)), but to date he hasn't found 1 good defensive player in the draft and we're still searching for a Safety since Mike Brown. Kyle Long is an interesting situation for a lot of reason. I think part of the reason he was drafted was because of his ability to potentially play LT at some point, and OG seems to be more important than OT in this scheme. But he could be one of the top NFL guards as soon as this year. And I agree, I typically don't want to draft a guard in the 1st round. Especially one that's not in the Hutchinson, Iupati, DeCastro, Warmack, Cooper class of elite top 15 type talents. But you can't fault the pick if Long turns out to be an elite player. FWIW, if I were the Bears GM, I'd probably have waited until the 2nd and taken Larry Warford who went to Detroit early 3rd. My 1st pick would have been between Trufant, Sharif Floyd or Alec Ogletree, with edge to Ogletree probably because of the need last year.
  21. Bengals also kinda screwed with his brother too. He's still a phone call away. He's got a future as a QB coach, a college OC, or he can remain in the company he was part of that worked with Bortles, Fales, etc. last summer.
  22. It'll be interesting to see how the Bears defense start this season. Buffalo and San Francisco have been absolutely pathetic on offense with their 1st teams (actually entire team for the most part). Jets we know aren't going to be any good offensively. They are 3 really good running games though, so if the Bears can't keep these teams off the scoreboard, it's probably going to be a long season. After the Seattle game, I think it's going to be very important to get this team some confidence on defense early, before they get to the GB, Atlanta, New England part of the schedule.
  23. I read a tweet 5 days ago that said Schwarber had hit exactly 4 HRs in every level he's been at as a Cub. Now he has 10 at Daytona. He's going to hit 20 this yeae and he didn't get started until halfway through June.
  24. Corey Black hitting a wall? Bad again today. Career high in innings.
