It sounded like they had a basic agreement once the deadline passed, so I'm not that surprised. It's certainly nice to have it done two days before camp begins, though. I was fully expecting him to symbolically sit out at least part of training camp, if not all the preseason. But I was certain he'd be around for all 16 games. I wonder how the "Bears are having a disastrous offseason" crowd will respond. I expected him to miss a couple games, actually. I figured he'd sit out most of training camp and when he came back would be symbolically benched for a few games because he "wasn't ready." Things worked out in this whole Briggs thing. This is all very funny considering the Bears just locked up Tillman and Vasher. The Bears pay their players. Anyone who still says the Bears are still a cheap organization is wrong. Sounds like some decision were made about who is worth keeping for their price and who isn't. I think it also says a lot about who the Org. thinks is ultimately replaceable. I'm ready for camp!
