  1. I know a guy who looks like Marlin and he said that Reggie Abercrombie is coming to the Cubs.
  2. That seems like an exercise in futility.
  3. You do realize that they always use the colors of the team hosting the game, right? This was not an arbitrary color choice. Does that make them any less tacky?
  4. Hasn't been informed of what trade? :-s   Meant to say of "a" trade. Sorry 'bout that. No problem. I'm just totally confused. Thanks a lot Raisin you giant liar.
  5. I didn't notice that but my guess is that had a lot to do with this injury he sustained in the preseason tackling Barlow. Probably made him a little gunshy.
  6. Not sure how the deal breaks down. The total "value" of the deal is 28 million. I expect the deal is backloaded to some extent. It seems like almost all of them are these days.
  7. It's hysterical. He must have been on his way out of the dugout when Hill was way up the line. What if Hill fell, or if he stumbled and slowed? Or what if there was a tremendous throw that made it a close play? DaRosa would have been a couple feet from the play. Maybe Derosa would have dragged him across the plate?
  8. The deal seems very reasonable to me. Only 14 million guaranteed. Extending the players you drafted before they hit the open market is a great strategy. I don't know how much Vasher would have gotten if he had hit the open market, but I'd guess it'd be more than he got with the Bears. He's a perfect fit for his role and I'm sure he knows it. Click
  9. Given that he is a converted infielder, shouldn't it help that he has less mileage on his arm? Depends on how you look at it. Some players are able to convert into becoming a pitcher and some end of blowing out their arms trying to. Im not going to go into the mechanical side of it because the majority of the people would not understand it. Thanks. I'd hate to have us bring you down to our level.
  10. Who said we aren't signing Tillman? Where are you getting that? I will be really tough to give deals both starting corners. I'm not so sure that's true. I hope they can sign both, but if i had to choose between one of them, I take Tillman easily. All things being equal, I would too. Tillman could be asking for signifigantly more money than Vasher was. I'm interested on seeing the size of this deal.

  12. I'd be interested in seeing how much the extension is for. Vasher is a very good cover 2 CB. As long as this deal isn't cost prohibitive when it comes to extending tillman, Berrian, and or Rex, then I have no problem with it. Da Bears pay their guys. Briggs is a tool.
  13. Just confirmed on the score.
  14. If he gets a DUI, he's looking at some jail time. Am I wrong here? He has to be on probation still.
  15. Wowzers. 670 the score is reporting the same thing. Can't say I blame them. It's pretty much a certainty that this incident means the chance of making it 6 games instead of 8 is gone. And there's a decent chance Goodell would actually add games as this is a new incident. Had Tank taken the situation seriously, and turned his life around without incident, he'd have been showing a real committment to correcting his mistakes. This isn't about being out at 3:30 AM to me, I don't care about that stuff. But this is about being in Tank's situation and being out at 3:30 AM with perhaps something iffy in his system. I thought Tank was pretty disappointing as a player for most of his time here, so it's easier to swallow if true. But he was still a decent cog on the wheel. As long as they find a way to replace him, and feel confident in Harris and Dusty (which I presume they do), then I can't say they are making a mistake. He refused a breathalyzer so the police had to get a warrent to take his blood. Pretty sure he's going to get a DUI, which I would imagine end any chance of him playing this year. Getting rid of him is the right call. You can't let this guy burn you over and over again. Like you said, he's a ok player but not good enough to continually deal with his crap.
  16. Good think we signed Anthony Adams.
  17. Wowzers. 670 the score is reporting the same thing.
  18. 310/360/566/926 OPS+ 138 After a slow start, on pace for 34 homers. So far, so good.
