    Before he gave up the home run, I was just about to post... Imanaga begging for strikes feels like he knows that he cant give up a single run and still have a chance to win the game.

    Are they though? None of their top three starting pitchers are particularly young. Yes, they have some intriguing young arms, but it's not like they have a rotation full of young aces.

    Dansby is like a stock that hits support every time he gets near .200. He has 1 or 2 decent games to look like he is starting to figure things out, then goes right back in the tank for an extended period of time.

    On one hand, it seems incredibly unlikely that Kyle Hendricks is going to repeatedly intentionally throw at another respected veteran player. On the other hand, Kyle is exactly the kind of guy who could get away with that. Maybe that was his way of trying to show some fight where the rest of the team hasn't? Probably not, but I can't completely rule it out.

    Kyle Hendricks just tied William Hutchinson for 7th all-time on the Cubs strikeout list.

    Remember when the Cubs only drafted SS's? Now, they only draft corner infielders who are unlikely to stick at any position outside of 1B/DH.

    Well done Kyle. He is going to have some games where he gets torched, and probably a few more than in the past, but he seems to have righted the ship overall.
