It is when your best player is selfish, injury-prone, and has a huge salary that doesn't give the team flexibility to sign other players. -
We didn't really give up anything for him though. He took a chance, and it didn't work out. Big deal. You guys think he'll be on the playoff roster? I sure hope not. We need Pie on the roster for his late inning defense, so if it comes down to Monroe vs. Murton for our right handed outfielder the choice better be Murton.

as long as they don't reintroduce the blue alternates next year, i'll be happy I loved those! I know I'm in the minority but I wouldn't be sad to see those come back at all. I'm fine with them as long as they're only on designated days, rather than pitcher's choice that ended up being more often than not.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand when people refer to the team as the "COBS"? Is that supposed to have some type of negative connotation?
