Or just play Sori there and let Fox play left. Dear Lord, people...THE #8 HITTER CAN BE BAD. Soto will hit 7th when he comes back. A Fontenot/Baker platoon at #8 is fine. The Cubs don't need to be creating serious defensive liabilities in two positions to replace the #8 hitters. GOOD LORD it won't kill us to try that for a couple of games until Geo gets back. Why risk it? That sure sounds like a desparation move and the Cubs are playing fairly well. -
I don't know about you, but I'm having a hard time containing my excitement about the cornhole lottery game.

The Cardinals take a 3-1 lead with DeRosa tagging and scoring from 3rd on a Pierre-esque throw from Michael Bourn.

Would he be a Hall of Famer? He has never been a spectacular pitcher, but you almost have to reward that type of longevity.

I'd be all for going the other direction, becoming a seller and starting over next year. It's obvious that if we happen to run up against the Phillies in the playoffs, it isn't going to be pretty. Of course becoming a seller would assume that the Cubs had anyone that was sellable. They have a whole team full of $50 bags of Skittles.

Carl Crawford is the MVP? Huh? I mean that was a great play to prevent the Home Run, but I don't think I've ever seen a position player named the MVP when he made no significant offensive contributions.
