  1. Nope. He is working with what we has. But you can conclude maybe a manager just doesn't matter very much.
  2. This version of Kyle Tucker clearly isn't the all star version.
  3. The Cubs have faced some of those guys lately too... and haven't been able to hit them.
  4. That is pretty standard now. Everything is tracked pitch by pitch in the Game changer app and there are strict rules by age on the number of pitches allowed, combined with required rest based on how many pitches were thrown.
  5. I didn't see the game, but how hard did Palencia get hit? Teams have been making very good contact against him lately.
  6. Maybe Vidal Brujan was the glue that held this team together all along.
  7. Pearson still giving up rockets. I've seen this guy before.
  8. It's crazy to think, but the Brewers might soon be nearly out of reach. 4 games is do-able, but if they drop a few more games over the next week, does anyone really think the Cubs can make up 6 games in a month and a half?
  9. Other teams go to the pen and immediately shut the Cubs down with a series of unknown relievers. The Cubs go to the pen and immediately undo all the good work the starter did.
  10. If Tom/Jed want justification to hide behind when they don't make Tucker a serious offer, he is giving that to them right now.
  11. Tucker looks like he is out in front of everything. His swings are almost all arms.
  12. There's your bottom of the lineup picking up the slack again.
  13. Over/under 4 years before the Cubs eclipse his contract for another player? I might go with the over.
  14. I take no joy in that. I would rather have them be mowing guys down and make Jed look like (more of) a fool.
  15. They should be. Their team is, rather inexplicably, playing incredible baseball with no sign of letting up.
  16. That was as good an assumption as any. Because I still can't tell you why they are good.
