    And not a single one of those players will really be missed in the playoffs. I can't imagine the replacements being any worse than most of those guys, and most likely they will at least get some marginal improvements.

    They need a shooting guard who can do both to take the pressure of Rose. Korver is a pure "shooter" and we all see how that is working out.

    why is miami going to get much better? lebron, wade and bosh are basically at the peak of their careers right now. the supporting cast blows, but unless they luck into some awesome late draft picks they're not going improve much. they don't have the cap room to go out and sign anyone really good; it'll just be the mike millers and mike bibbys of the world rotating through as their supporting cast. Under the current salary cap structure, I believe the Heat would get a Mid Level Exception that would allow them to go out and sign a quality big man, then continue to fill out the rest of their roster with Millers and Bibbys who want to take less money to play for a championship team.

    Wouldn't that same hard cap restrict the Bulls with Boozer, Noah, Deng, and a future big payday for Rose? Not if you can package Noah+Deng for Howard. The Bulls must pull off a trade of some sort because this formula is whack. the bulls just came one shot (or one good last-second play) from being tied in the series and holding home court advantage. why is this team such a disaster and needs to be reassembled? just get a pretty good shooting guard. The team is certainly not a disaster and, if everything remains constant, a shooting guard upgrade might be enough... The problem is that everything won't remain constant. Miami is only going to get better, so I'm not convinced that one star plus a bunch of solid players will be able to complete with two stars plus Bosh and quality veteran role-players that fill their current holes.

    Deng was not the problem on offense. He was part of it. If they can't knock down the open 3's, they are going to be in trouble.

    I'm not sure, especially when Bogans has been a more consistent 3 point shooter in the playoffs.

    Not good, but I suppose this isn't terrible news either since it sounds like the injury he re-aggravated is still not considered extremely serious.

    Or maybe we just need to consider what really happened after 2009. I know there were injuries last season, but I still find it suspicious when someone suddenly drops from a consistent .900+ OPS to the low .700's in what should be the prime of his career. Prime? 31 and 32 years old? Yeah, those should still be prime years for a hitter. Maybe the tail of the prime, but close enough.

    Well, that sucks. That almost guarantees that, even if he does come back healthy, it will not be as a starter.

    I never realized that "lacking speed off the bench" was such a big problem. I would be more concerned with lacking guys who can hit.

    You should be able to get your money back if that is what you want. Per my understanding the Cubs have always had an informal policy of refunding rainout tickets, but I received an email from the Cubs organization today indicating the game had been postponed until June 28th and 'there will be no refunds or exchanges' of the tickets. For a fan who lives in Mobile, AL, attending the June 28th makeup game is not going to be feasible. Can anyone confirm there is still an informal policy of refunding rainout tickets or is the email I received a firm stance taken by the new ownership? Maybe the policy has changed, but I attended a rainout either last year or the year before and the Cubs sent out information that instructed ticketholders to mail their tickets into the box office for a refund. I mailed my tickets and they credited the card that I had used for payment.
