  1. Lost in the offensive excitement, Arrieta is still awesome.
  2. It's like the Jerome Walton / Dwight Smith ROY battle all over again!
  3. His swing reminds me a lot of Vlad Guerrero.
  4. It is truly awful. I could get just as good an idea what is happening in the game by listening to NPR.
  5. Biggest Cubs rookie debut since... Prior?
  6. Apparently the initial x-ray missed the fracture? Tough break for Olt, no pun intended. He had to know he had a very short window to prove himself worthy of sticking with the team and his opportunity was ended early. That definitely isn't the story here though, I can't wait for tomorrow!
  7. How trustworthy is an anonymous Jesse Rogers source?
  8. Any pen with Schlitter in it isn't deep enough.
  9. I don't rule out the possibility that Theo and Jed may come to that same conclusion soon.
  10. Olt swung at the only pitch in the zone.
  11. Welp, I didn't see that coming. Baseball is fun!
  12. He potentially could have made a throw to third.
  13. That was a Vladimir Guerrero-esque line drive off the shoetops.
  14. I thought Szczur was faster than that.
  15. That is a nice way of saying Schlitter has already been used.
  16. http://www.itinthed.com/wp-content/uploads/whaddayado.jpg
  17. He better get that figured out now that the Cubs have Babe Coghlan in LF.
  18. But he is also Schlitter's personal catcher.
  19. I always struggled with the pickoff move to third (as a righty). I think my problem was trying to be too deceptive, making it a more difficult throw than it needed to be. Of course I wasn't a very good pitcher to begin with, but I can understand how that particular pickoff move could be more difficult than a standard throw.
  20. I'll take it. Start the 2nd inning without a guaranteed out..
  21. Ouch, this lineup. 3 runs is going to be a stretch tonight.
