  1. Shouldn't Chapman be better than this? I feel more comfortable with Rondon at closer.
  2. Oh my... Russell is amazing and Travis Wood is the opposite.
  3. It's nice to see Heyward hit the ball hard, and in the air, but even when it looks like he absolutely crushes the ball it still BARELY clears the fence.
  4. Well, I was beginning to wonder how the Cubs could leave Hammel out of the playoff rotation. This is how.
  5. Even without Schwarber's injury, I don't think it is ideal for a team's backup catcher to be a starter at another position. I would be in favor of carrying a true backup catcher (Montero or otherwise) and only use Schwarber there in emergencies or in the wacky late inning games where Maddon has half the team playing out of position.
  6. What about the call that went against the Marlins a few weeks ago? That one was awful too.
  7. The burden of proof changes from one play to the next.
  8. But who is he supposed to yell at? Unless he runs down and puts a headset on.
  9. Replay is simply not worth it. It takes away the enjoyment of individual moments, unnecessarily delays the game, and doesn't even get the calls right. What is the point?
  10. Chapman would have at least 3 wild pitches already if Montero were still in the game.
  11. 2 walks and a hard hit ball that easily could have been a hit. Hopefully that is the end of the Joe Smith experiment.
  12. I think the SLG was at .312 prior to the last at bat. Unbelievable.
  13. He hit it almost 300 ft in the air. That is an accomplishment.
  14. "A little dribbler." I would expect nothing else.
  15. Someone call the Preacher. He knows where to send him.
