  1. I want them to convert him to LF or RF so damn bad. i'll take a butcher at C if he can hit all the damn time. it's the cubs fault for not finding a palatable RF. You must have missed that we have Jim Aducci now.
  2. $20 Million sure doesn't go as far as it used to.
  3. Why is an org that employs Addison Russell going to ever be embarrassed by a baseball game? Letting Russell go was such an easy move for the Cubs to make, for both on and off the field reasons. It was handed to them on a silver platter and they screwed it up. Now they have to wait for him to do something stupid again to justify getting rid of him. Meanwhile, his salary could have paid for a servicable relief pitcher.
  4. Probably just bad luck, but the defensive positioning has been awful.
  5. That is kind of irrelevant because it was blatantly obvious to almost anyone who follows baseball that he was going to be hurt.
  6. Again, why is Russell playing so deep in the hole?
  7. He shouldn't, but with the possibility of another long extra inning game, I understand why Joe tried to sneak him through the whole inning.
  8. Giving credit where credit is due, I feel like MLB has been handling replay more consistently this season, going with the call on the field more often unless they have solid evidence to overturn.
  9. Of horsefeathering course. Another bloop hit after McCutchen should have been struck out.
  10. There is nothing more valuable than a right handed pinch hitter with no power and below average outfield defense.
  11. It probably isn't really the case, but it sure seems like the Cubs defensive positioning is routinely worse than the opposition. While the Cubs hit balls directly into the shift, their opponents roll ground balls through holes that shouldn't be holes.
