  1. Has Luther Burden overtaken Odunze as the team's #1 receiver? If not this season, in the very near future.
  2. Whatever the over was for tonight's game, it wasn't high enough.
  3. NBC's pregame characterization of this "great Bears defense" may not age well.
  4. It looks like all the defenders are more worried about trying to grab the ball than actually wrapping up and tackling. That's great when it works, but not so great when it doesn't.
  5. Didn't they already sign the right handed bench bat who can play first base?
  6. I think you are answering a different question. I agree that it was a good season. But good and successful are two different things. The Cubs didn't win the World Series and they are no closer to winning a World Series now than they were prior to 2025. If the team isn't winning a World Series or making progress toward that goal, I don't consider what they are doing a success.
  7. I am surprised by the number of Yes votes. I voted no. When you make the Kyle Tucker deal with no intention of re-signing him, it's World Series or bust. Otherwise, what's the point? Did the Cubs outperform expectations and play some exciting baseball into October? Yes. Was the season a success? No.
  8. Isn't that already part of the problem, that they are beholden to ROI for their minority partners? Even if, hypothetically, the Ricketts family wanted to go spend crazy profits be damned, there are others with a stake in the game who wouldn't be happy with that.
  9. But will Jed publicly thank dear leader Ricketts for allowing him to make an offer?
  10. Hopefully not as badly as Jake Paul's.
  11. Ben Johnson confirmed a knee injury in his postgame comments, but nothing more beyond that.
  12. I find it hard to believe there have been 4 more improbable wins over the past 9 years.
  13. Green Bay went an entire game and OT without punting and somehow only scored 16 points.
  14. Gotta be an onsite attempt here. That is your only chance.
  15. I'm willing to bet the Packers have run more plays in Bears territory than the Bears have run in total
  16. Are there really no receivers open on all these plays where Caleb is throwing the ball away? Because other teams always find the open receivers when the Bears blitz.
  17. I have to admit I'm not completely up to date on playoff scenarios, but a quick glance at the NFC standings seems to indicate the Bears playoff hopes may come down to the last game against Detroit even if they win next week.
  18. Of course they have a backup QB who is lights out. Why wouldn't they?
  19. Can we get Jordan Love back? This defense can't deal with the added threat of the QB run.
  20. He said they were both dirty and purposeful. If you want to say that about the second hit, fine. On the first hit, Booker clearly caught himself with his hand on the ground to prevent his weight coming down on the QB.
  21. This game is weird. The Bears defense is getting completely dominated and has only given up 6 points.
