  1. Me, too, even when we make the playoffs. Maybe it's more summer ending? Baseball is my No. 1 sport, and nothing else fills it for me. Same here. It's going to be a long Winter. I miss it already...
  2. Sure, but they always find new ways to shock me. It's like a endless supply of suckage. turn the screw a little more...
  3. "If you choke, you must be a joke"
  4. The Cubs choked on this one for sure, but the playoffs are a crapshoot. To insinuate that the Cubs got into the playoffs by bottom feeding is patently ludicrous. This year's squad was quantifiably better than last year's in multiple regards. What happened is that the Cubs totally abandoned what made them successful all season, and played the worst defense I have ever seen for a few innings. The Dodgers hardly obliterated the Cubs. The Cubs did a fine job of that themselves. I'll put money down that come the end of 2009, the Cubs are Central Division champs again, with as good a shot as they had this year. What happens after that is anybody's guess. Pretty much. No reason why they can't dominate the division again. This playoff team isn't the same team we saw during the season. We played like crap, but give credit to the Dodgers. They pitched really well, played good Defense, and got timely hitting. No excuses - They outplayed and outclassed us. It was a special team and season that came to a tragic - if not shocking end. I don't think anyone could've of predicted a 3 and out, no matter who we played. Only the Cubs...Seriously! "Wait til next year"! Meh! Oh, so we're playing the game where we kiss the ass of the other team again? I remember that last year. "Oh, gotta to hand it to that Livan Hernandez posting a 1.50 ERA against us, he's a savvy postseason performer!" Give me a break. This happens every year too. Over congratulating the winning team. It's like nobody expects the team to do anything a team better than the Pirates. "Well, what are you going to do? *shrug* They're a good team." Yeah, it's a real shame we don't get to play those crap teams in the playoffs. Whose kissing ass? Just stating the obvious. You're right, the Dodgers are fantastic, the Diamondbacks were fantastic last year, let's tip our cap to everyone. Livan Hernandez is unbeatable and James Loney really is just that damn good. Yea, that's what exactly I said. Look dude, I know you're pissed and every Cub fan is just as pissed. This is the worst playoff Cubs team I've seen, but taking pot shots at other posters isn't going to make you feel any better. Go back and read the topic. I didn't make any personal attacks on anyone before the posturing began. You aren't giving personal attacks but you are taking liberties with our posts. We are all in pain this Morning man. I totally feel your pain...I'm not even angry (that'll come later) I'm just completely and utterly shocked and sad.
  5. What exactly is badness arguing? I think we are all in agreement that the Cubs sucked in the playoffs. They have sucked the past two years. This is the worst playoff performance in our lifetime. They need to add at least 1 lefty impact bat and tweak the team.

  9. What is this 9 straight post season loses in a row?!?! Is that a record?
  10. What a shocking waste of a 97 win season. Can't even win 1 game. Hell, the brewers running on fumes squeezed out a win.
  11. If you can't fire up yourself in a do or die situation in the playoffs...You deserve to die.
  12. Cubs never let me down. They never surprise.
  13. It's called having given up on most hope during inning 2 of game 2 and now not feeling any pressure. I have it too. I just hope they don't tease us, only to lose the game. If they are going to lose get it over with early.
  14. TBS just did a segment on Moyer. What a flippin' cool guy!
  15. !!!niw tsuj Might as well pull out all the classics.
  16. Moyer and Bush with both get lit up today. Phils will close it out
  17. Lou already said that Dempster will be pitching out of the pen if needed for game 3 and 4.
  18. More time to get tanked to kill the pain. You'll be too drunk to watch Harden shut them down. Hopefully!
  19. Why would the Mets do that trade?
  20. More time to get tanked to kill the pain.
  21. We gotta win a playoff game some time. might as well be tonight.
  22. Every series is now 2-0. Which team has the best chance of pulling of a miracle? Has to be us considering all the match-ups. No? Dammit! I'm getting sucked back in. If we can just win tonight....
  23. That's going to be a epic matchup!
