  1. I started at 6:00. Gotta get a base going.
  2. The Cubs have to give us something to cheer about...
  3. This. I forgot what it feels like to win a post-season game. http://www.fangraphs.com/tgraphs/20031011_Cubs_Marlins_0_score.png I can't believe that it's been 5 years already!

  5. Where has the main talk been about the crowd, though? It's been mentioned because, false perception or real, it seemed odd to a lot of people. But the talks of what happened in game 1 (and what might happen next) still dominate. Its the main theme on Chicago sports radio today, believe me. I read Bruce's articles and avoided everything else today. No way would I ever considering listening to Chicago sports radio right now. Yea I have an hour long drive home from work at 7am in the morning so I usually listen to WSCR. Hell last nights postgame with David Kaplan was ridiculous. He was hammering the fans, and the same thing this morning. That schmuck TJ Simers from LA can go to hell. He was such a pompous ass this morning on WSCR. So do I. Keep your sanity and read a book. Keep your blood and don't. Oops...I could of sworn I read he took a train. Wow. I'm losing it folks

  7. Wow! 2nd dinger of the day.
  8. That didn't take long. Tampa tied it up 3-3
  9. 3-1 White Sox. I think Sox are going to take this series.
  10. One of those teams was the 2001 mariners. Lost the first game 5-0.
  11. Whoa! So we have a chance! :stickman: :stickman:
  12. That would be kind of BS if the bandwagon Rays fans got to see a World Series and we don't. The Marlins have a worse fan-base then Tampa, and they have two WS wins under their belt. Ahhh! This is getting depressing!
  13. I just can't pull for the W.Sox under any circumstance.
  14. Before this year (it's not over yet) when did Cubs players give WS predictions? Z in 2007 comes to mind. Z doesn't count.
  15. Before this year (it's not over yet) when did Cubs players give WS predictions?
  16. I never read the papers after Cubs loses. No reason to... I'm anxious and nervous and I can't focus on anything else. All the more reason to stay away... I don't even turn on sports radio...They aren't going to say anything to make me feel better.
  17. I never read the papers after Cubs loses. No reason to...
  18. He also has a book out on Amazon: Watching Baseball Smarter: A Professional Fan's Guide for Beginners, Semi-experts, and Deeply Serious Geeks
  19. Same here. I wish I didn't care... Two more games like last night and I could probably be converted. After Loney hit the slam I sat there the rest of the game thinking, "can I do this for another year?" I say that every year...
  20. Same here. I wish I didn't care...
  21. The sign language cracked me up. Is it me or does he seem he might be Autistic?
  22. I mean the law of averages has to start evening out, right? We can't possibly go 3 and out for the second straight year...Or can we? Z needs to pitch a gem tonight and the team needs to relax and just have fun.
  23. This is the feeling you will see @ Wrigley tonight. People will come and give it the old "college try" in the early innings with the cheering, but if the Cubs get down, you're going to see the bipolar-ness of Cub post-season fandom show up like a sudden thunderstorm of melodrama. You think this is exclusive to Cubs fans? You have to give fans something to cheer about. Of course with cubs fans it's more of a extreme given our pass history, but it's no unusual.
