  1. That equaled Patterson's 2004 walk total. CPatt drew 45 walks in 2004 and posted the best IsoD of his career (barring his cup of coffee that wasn't even 50 PA)
  2. DeRosa, why the heck did you get out of the way of that one?
  3. Does anybody know offhand if Rafael Soriano, Gonzalez, and Wickman are all available tonight?
  4. What a shame... Those girls were almost cute.
  5. Tyler Yates: Slight flyball tendencies. Good strikeout rate. Crappy walk rate.
  6. The guy that just took cy young deep yeah, but like, who is he? I've never heard of him. 25 year old 1B/LF. Projected to be your league average hitter.
  7. I think he's on the road tonight. Blasphemy. Fred is the living embodiment of the game threads, and nothing more. Oh wait, I get it... you were being meta-physical.
  8. Pardon my ignorance, but what is this all about? Good to see Caesar get the BB. Len said he broke a team rule but didn't mention the infraction. He's on the DL with a wrist injury. According to rotoworld, he went AWOL.
  9. Hey Fred, do you have individual pitches per plate appearance stats? I'm wondering if Izturis is leading the team right now...
  10. I can't believe Rothschild still has a job. I don't really think Rothschild is to blame for Z being a [expletive] headcase. Just sayin... And one could argue that Dusty's overuse may have more to do with Z's start than anything Larry has done. If Lilly, Marquis and Hill are examples of what Larry is capable of, then bravo. Especially if Marquis can hold it together...even the great Dave Duncan couldn't keep that guy pitching well. But he started the same way last year... He was bad last April, but he wasn't this bad. ERA 2004 - 3.55 2005 - 4.31 2006 - 5.35 As of this writing, he is at 8.10 so far this year.
  11. You know what's great about being a broke college student? Since I don't have an actual liquor cabinet, the bottles just sit out right on the table. No wasted 10 seconds.
  12. I still can't believe I just saw that.
  13. Seems we have another dynamic strike zone today.
  14. On a BP, but otherwise completely unrelated note, I got my first question answered today in the Maury Brown chat. Then I got two more answered. Just for kicks, here's the question I asked that finally got me an answer.
  15. We could always put Ohman on the DL with something made up... "elbow soreness" or something.
  16. On the other hand, Barrett was drafted as a shortstop... Just throwin that out there.
  17. To be fair to Zaun, he's a better option than Blanco as a backup catcher. That being said, I don't see how the Blue Jays need Jones.
  18. i bet they're watching it on tv You really need to shrink that avatar way down.

    Rate my draft!

Well, I've made some minor tweaks. I dropped Myers in order to pick up Chien-Ming Wang. He went on my DL spot, and I used the other available spot to pick up Jered Weaver. I have no idea why either of those guys was made available. Once Wang comes off the DL, I'll drop Reyes. Come the all-star break, this is what my pitching will look like. SP - Jake Peavy SP - Felix Hernandez SP - Ben Sheets P - Roger Clemens P - Chien-Ming Wang RP - J.J. Putz Bench - Rich Hill Bench - Jered Weaver It's a daily roster adjustments league though, so all those pitchers will be getting their turn. I did debate dropping The Rocket for a relief pitcher... but the fact that everybody else is only using 1 RP leaves me in a position that makes it about as easy as possible to carry that dead weight through the beginning of the season. On the hitting side of things, I haven't made any adjustments. Again, I debated going with a SB guy, but to this point that's the one thing my offense has been doing well. To me, it just makes the most sense to go with power guys, as they are likely to help in R, HR, and RBI. Most speed guys available in my league are only likely to help in SB. Yeah, my team has started off slow... but I'm sticking with my guns with guys like Gordon and Young.
  20. On what planet was optioning Gooz a good idea?
  21. Pie isn't really anymore of a "leadoff" hitter than CPatt was. I sure hope he isn't asked to do anything they wouldn't ask Soriano to do.
