  1. Is that run earned for Rich, or is a balk kinda like an error?
  2. He's like Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, Jimmie Foxx, and Ted Williams rolled into one!! He's an arrogant, racist, drunken fatass? Which one of those is Foxx? I was gonna put something in there about having too many "I"'s in one name, but it just didn't fit.

  4. Bases juiced after a walk and Cesar Izturis coming up to the plate. Even money that he swings at the first pitch.
  5. The man has been hot with the bat all month, can't we leave him alone?
  6. You're telling me... I didn't even expect the relay to go home.
  7. Currently, Verlander is no hitting the BrewCrew through 5.1 innings. Don't jinx it, buddy.
  8. Good start. Walk is just as good as a single there.
  9. I can't remember the last time I saw Washburn pitch...
  10. Pagan .294/.357/.867 Murton .259/.338/.683 DeRosa .264/.347/.790 and .222/.300/.633 v. Washburn Higher avg, obp and ops. Better chance to score in front of DLee. Batting DeRosa later so him and Theriot can team up possibly for more offense after Murton and Barrett get thrown out on the basepaths. Pagan has 57 PA and a track record that suggests he's nowhere near as good as he's been hitting over those 57 PA.
  11. Dude's fast. Gotta have speed at the top. I see... Lou's tired of all the fake rallies, so he's gonna try to run us right out of them as soon as possible. Gotcha.
  12. Why on earth would we bat Pagan 2nd? DeRosa or Murton would be perfect fits there.
  13. When the difference is as drastic as it is in this instance, it's not worthless by any means. Just to make something perfectly clear... Correlation != Causation And there is absolutely no proof that Barrett was the cause of Z's struggles. None. Zip. Zero. Nada.
  14. Yeah, we'd be so much better off if we just had Freddie "Boom Boom" Bynum back to play right, and Blanco to catch... they'd never be on base to get thrown out.
  15. Large variations and almost zero consistency. IE, Z was better with Barrett two seasons ago, almost dead even last year, and much worse with Barrett this season.
  16. No way DeRosa belongs on the bench behind Theriot/Fontenot. IMO, the ideal lineup offensive lineup has DeRosa at second, Fontenot at short and either a Murton/Floyd platoon or just Murton in right. If memory serves, DeRosa is a better SS than Fontenot...
  17. Whats asinine is your comment and the logic behind it. IMO of course :D The logic sticks. You're rallying for Theriot to get more playing time that would come at the expense of Murton. Yeah, right now they're hitting pretty similar (.680 OPS for Theriot, .683 OPS for Murton)... but I don't think anybody is going to say they have a similar ceiling. Murton simply has a chance to be much, much better than Theriot. Why we'd make a move that would only lower the ceiling for offensive production while doing nothing to increase the floor is simply beyond me. It defies all logic.
  18. funny how when murton can't hit for beans, everyone says it's because he's not getting regular playing time... when jones can't hit, it's because he flat-out sucks. To be fair, Jones does have quite the history of suckitude, regardless of PT.
  19. ERA is back below 5.00, too.
