I was just thinking there was some room for hope in that regard. He has been with the organization for a long time, though, so hard to say if opinions have already been calcified.
McDonough seemed clueless about overseeing a baseball team. This will be interesting. At least he knows winning is a good goal to have. He sure sounded a marketing dude.
I have my doubts as well. McDonough: "The Tribune has been a tremendous owner for the Cubs. In some cases we [the Cubs] may not have been as prudent or judicious in some of our acquisitions as we could have been."
McDonough: My goal is for the Cubs to win the World Series. Not win the wild card, the division, the pennant. It's time to win the World Series. Well, I hope he means it.
Ugh, I don't know about that, though McDonough is another moneymaking suit so may do well on the business side. It's good someone is being accountable. I just wish (and sort of hope) that this is accountability being enforced from above rather than business as usual.
You can bring in water in a clear plastic bottle. I've used a regular gymn water bottle in the past, but occasionally people at the bleacher entrance have complained about it not being sealed like a newly purchased bottle of water would be. They've still let me bring it in. Never had complaints at other entrances.
