    Congratulations on the first game thread sweep! :D Mark_R 4/7-9 vs St. Louis 3 games We'll have to credit Vance with a hold or something.

    Yepez gave up a run on 2 hits in the bottom of the 6th, 1-1 tie through 6 1/2. Yepez at 68 pitches through 6. 6IPs, 2H, 2K/2BB, No-Decision. One hit was an infield single. Michael Phelps in to pitch for Peoria.

    Peoria Bottom 5 Yepez pitching Flaig ® - groundout 6-3 Saunders (L) - BB Valbuena (L) - P4, 4-3 DP as Saunders was running on the pitch Yepez has faced the minimum through 5. 1K/2BB Throwing some great curves per Nathan. Scoreless through 5 I need to step away for a few ... it would be definitely worth your while to tune in to this game. :) Hopefully I'll be back for the bottom of the inning.

    Chiefs hitters with 1 hit through 5. Mark Reed has the sole hit, an infield single. Scoreless to the bottom of the 5th.

    :lol: He must have a good move -- Nathan just said he picked off 3 Braves in the exhibition game vs Bradley. :)

    Yepez walks a batter on a full count after retiring 10 in a row ... and he picks him off 1-3 one out later. Only one flyball to RF and a few popouts. He's racking up the groundouts and has faced the minimum through 4. ETA: 37 pitches through 4.

    I've only caught a few moments of Daytona's broadcasts, but they were speaking highly of Fuld's defensive play the other night. He's off to a good start offensively, too.

    Yepez has retired all 9 in a row through 3 with 1K. Heard Nathan mention a couple of curveballs. I have the game on in the background, but I also have friends over and have to head out soon.

    You can buy 3 tickets for box office prices through Cubs.com right now. I selected "Best Available" and 3 Outfield Field Box seats showed up.

    Mark_R doesn't get home from work until 10-ish tonight, so tomorrow's game thread will be up a little late. He should get the chance to go for the first sweep of the season. :D

    They're not premature, because most people were saying that 4 months ago when he was signed. He has been bad for the last couple years. Odds are he will be bad for the next few. And Jones 3 year splits in April.... .335 .396 .518 .914 Less then 4 games isn't premature for someone new to the NL? Wow, talk about high expectations. BTW TT I don't trust you... :D CTRL - D = bookmarks the page, presumably because of the rather rash vow you made above. :P

    I'm trying to figure out how you wouldn't be able to see most of center & left field from the RF bleacher boxes. :scratch: Maybe if you were lying facedown in an aisle? I guess she was talking mainly about the upper CF bleachers in her response vs the "obstructed views" of the RF bleacher boxes that she mentioned in her column.
