He's officially in the queue. :) (Though he won't be next. I promised some detailed info on Gallagher to Serena about a month and a half ago and have yet to get around to it. He's next!) HOORAY!!! \:D/ Quoted for truth! (and I finally have a new rank!) :)
BHogg was the Opening Day starter, so we're almost at the end of the original list. You've been added as the last person (at the top of the list on page 1).
I'm an idiot!!! I checked the standings and thought they just clinched the tie. It's freaking AWESOME that the clinched the division! Good for Jody Davis, good for the Chiefs, they stayed focused and got the job done. Wowzers.
I believe there are reports that his fastball has picked up a tick this year, and he's been reading higher on the guns at A ball too. He's added some velocity since last season. I've heard too many independent reports to think otherwise. He was likely pumped for tonight's game and after having a week off, probably did rachet it up another tick.
Gallagher last started a week ago today. He has always gotten a lot of swinging Ks with good movement on his pitches; he'll have to adjust to more advanced hitters who won't chase pitches out of the zone as often. I'm pleased with this as his first outing. He's the youngest player on either team by a good portion; I'm wondering how many younger are playing in the league. I can't tune in the DJaxx broadcast either. :( Very nice to hear about the Chiefs at Wrigley!
Hilarious! In a very sad way. Bynum gets the nod because he's hitting righties .007 better than Murton. Heh. I had qualms about how Murton would be power-wise before the season -- I had hoped his average and OBP would remain respectable if not as stellar as last season. But the issue is not so much that Murton would be platooned but that his at-bats will be taken by yet another light-hitting speedy guy, the type that Hendry and Dusty just can't help but collect and play way too much.
