  1. Daytona has postponed tonight's game. They currently plan to make it up as a doubleheader tomorrow night, but we'll see if the weather cooperates.
  2. Good grief, are all my guys IN A COMA?
  3. From a past Bruce Miles article: Minor matters: The Cubs have claimed center fielder Miguel Negron off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays organization and optioned him to Class AA West Tenn. Negron, 23, is on the 40-man roster. At Class AA New Hampshire, Negron batted .215 with a low on-base percentage of .266. He had 2 homers and 12 RBI. In 130 at-bats, Negron had 9 walks and 25 strikeouts. Here's the Transactions Thread discussing the Cubs claiming him off waivers. (Non-Premium Link)
  4. That's great!!!!! Congrats to Sean -- well-earned and expected. It must have thrown everyone for a loop given that you all probably had FSL all-star game plans ... but still, really a testimony to all the work he's put in. There are a few here who can probably help with hotel suggestions. We're planning a trip there in about a month, so I'll be reading them, too.
  5. I didn't realize that the player himself WAS the bandwagon for these threads!
  6. I think the main point is that Uber will take care of his game thread starts, regardless of whether it's before or after midnight. http://www.northsidebaseball.com/PremiumForum/images/smiles/icon_thumleft.gif We can respect someone's schedule when he lets us know about it.
  7. actually, it's not so bad :) Each scorecard makes the assumption that a team will bat around in an inning, so having a player come up in both the first and second is not that big a deal. Most scorecards (this one is my favorite) provide an extra inning or 2 just in case. Generally when a team bats around, I'll just take the next column, scratch off the inning at the top and renumber. Normally, in these situations, you don't have to worry about extra innings as well. I admit it - I'm a scorecard geek  Excellent! I bookmarked the site! I was thinking at the time about them batting around multiple times within an inning.
  8. Update from Cubs.com.
  9. It'd be tough to find a scorecard wide enough to score the Daytona game.
  10. Too much paintball over the weekend!
  11. Looks like the Daytona bats woke up. They have one of the best home records in the league.
  12. I didn't see you listed there. Your record is listed there now.
  13. Chiefs win 11-2 - Ryan Norwood & Yusuf Carter hit back-to-back HRs in the 8th. Scott Taylor: 7IPs, 5H, 1R, 0ER, 4K/2BB, 2GO/13FO, 2WP 1!
  14. No prob! 5-0 Chiefs to the bottom of the 5th.
  15. Fixed, nd. Thanks. Uber is going to start Tuesday's game thread. No one else should be starting Tuesday's game thread before he has a chance to start it, PLEASE. THANKS.
  16. The gun was off, but he seems to have added a few ticks over the past year.
  17. Chiefs now leading 4-0, still batting in the bottom of the 3rd.
  18. Chiefs up 1-0 to the bottom of the 3rd.
  19. Thanks for the update! On the broadcast you could hear the crowd go "ooooh" when he hit the triple digits. They said he had his own section of family and friends there.
  20. Peoria: RHP Scott Taylor (2-2, 3.33) vs LHP Zach Phillips (2-4, 5.31) Daytona: RHP Mark Holliman (3-4, 3.31) vs. RHP James Brauer (4-2, 3.38) (this would be a re-match of the June 6 game, which Daytona lost 2-1).
  21. Yep, but he collected splinters last time. Now that Bynum has 2 HRs to his name, I'd guess the same would happen this time no matter what Restovich is doing in AAA.
  22. Dusty has liked to give some players a day off before an off day in the past ... sort of a mini-vacation to REALLY rest them up. Especially if someone is already a little sore or creaky. Mabry was absolutely brutal in his one or two appearances at 3B in spring training. That may be playing into Neifi being Replacement Option 1 at 3B.
