  1. Check with each course. Some will let you tee off on the back 9 before the 18 hole golfers get to the 10th hole. If you go early enough, you should be able to blow right through those holes pretty quickly.
  2. It's sad we always have to hope for a QB that doesn't make too many mistakes and puts just enough points on the board to win games. I do think another decent WR can give Foles the extra ammunition to be a middle of the pack QB at worst. 7 days left to the trade deadline. We've been lucky so far on the injury front, so hopefully Miller is ready soon and they get a Jamison Crowder type WR to solidify the offense.
  3. Actually reading through this, I think it was a little more complex than "knows Hou will score". It would be dumb just to concede a score. But you do want to use your TOs in succession to stop after 1st down, 2nd down, 3rd down. At 2 and 1 you give them the 1st and 10 and try to get 3 stops with 3 successive TOs. The 5 yards therefor is what might analytically be worth the extra time, with the expected point change being minimal I assume. It would have to be 2nd and 4th or less to make this a potentially desirable move I think. This game was a few tv's down from the game I was watching, but I was a bit blown away with how it ended, and I didn't even know about the purposeful 12th man on the field penalty. It was actually after that penalty that things got weird for me. The score was 30-29, Houston. Houston got into the endzone to make it a 7 point game. Instead of kicking the extra point, they went for 2. I'm thinking to myself, an 8 point lead is a guarantee of no worse than a tie with no time left. Why in the world are they going for two here? They don't make it, of course. Tennessee marches down the field and gets the TD and kicks the extra point to send it to overtime and then on to victory. An interim coach trying to go up 9 instead of a cozy 8 point lead which in turn loses you the game. Ouch. I mean, I get that the Titans have Derrick Henry and trying to keep him from running 2 yards is hard, but it only takes one goal line stand.
  4. Lots of spot on comments in this thread already. I would predict a low scoring game for both teams. Donald is scary good and our line....not so much. Quick releases will be important in this game. Screw the running game. Let Montgomery throw a block and swing out for more screens or dumps. I'm worried about the Bears vs. the TE's in this game.
  5. They need another play maker. We know it won't be Antonio Brown. LOL. They need a nice complement to ARob on the other side. I saw way too conservative of a game yesterday. Nagy doesn't seem willing to take chances and spread the field more, which is hurting the run game and it keeps every game too close. That's going to hurt when we start playing these good teams. They do need a playmaker. But that would mean to come at the expense of Darnell Mooney, a rookie with great speed and huge upside. Or Anthony Miller, while he has his issues...he does have 2 game winning catches this year and the Bears still have plenty of hope for him. It's not going to happen at TE. Too much invested in Graham ($$ wise) and Kmet (draft status). Any playmaker you bring in would be taking snaps away from someone who has a future with this franchise. Their best shot at a playmaker was if they could have won the Le'Veon Bell sweepstakes last week. Do we have any idea when Lamar Miller will be ready to join the roster? I haven't heard much of anything about him and his rehab. The roster casualty can be Ginn Jr. He's done. Let Anthony Miller return punts.

  7. I'm the overall points leader and I'm 3-2. If I didn't pick up Minshew and start him this past week to play in place of Josh Allen, I'd be 2-3. I gave up Tannehill to get Minshew. I just couldn't gamble that the Tuesday game gets cancelled going against the 2nd overall points leader with no quarterback. Somehow, I screwed up my waiver wire pickup this week somehow, so I may be without a TE this week if Fant doesn't play. Argh! ETA: And Fant is officially out for this week. I'm an idiot.
  8. I'd go Allen for sure. That's a layup. Allen has been a production monster and the Bills will need to score a ton just to keep up. Yeah, but Minshew is predicted to have a monster game against that weak Detroit defense. DJ Chark is likely out of that game, though, so I'll probably go with Allen.
  9. I don't make either one of those deals. I'm very stubborn about giving up a RB. The amount of spread to receivers makes their points less than RB's, especially 3 down RB's. I'd hang on to Henry, Taylor and Mostert and see if you can upgrade at WR with one of Jones or Fournette. Once Fournette is healthy, they will be splitting time. Yea the more I sit on it I'm bearish dealing Henry at all, especially since I have a decent shot to be trading 12 weeks of play for 11, with the early covid-bye for Ten. Also I'm bearish on having two of my top players (Mahomes, Hill) on one team in case of any covid issues. And this morning I wake up to find that Ind shut down, so maybe I just consider myself lucky that I have a really good 4th and 5th RB and do the best I can with the WR streaming (and hope Cooper becomes Dalton's favorite target in DAL). So as a follow up, who do you like as my No 2 WR this week between Claypool, Landry, Shenault, Higgins? Of those, I'd probably go Shenault. I believe I read that Chark is looking at missing some time, potentially making him the main target this week. Claypool and Higgins are still unknowns and going against good defenses. Landry is still probably tough to bench over these youngsters. I would have picked up Shenault off of waivers today, but I only get one more move this week, and I'm quite possibly out a TE this week with Waller on bye week and Noah Fant looking like a game time decision. Jimmy Graham will need to be added instead in hopes of something/anything at that position. Also, turns out the Colts covid tests were false positives.
  10. I'm having a tough time deciding between Josh Allen vs. KC and Minshew vs. Detroit for this Sunday.

  12. Sounds like it's between Buffalo, Miami and KC. My guess is Miami where he can be the featured back. It's also where he lives. He doesn't seem to appreciate sharing backfield duties.
  13. His pass catching out of the backfield would be a nice fit to this roster for the money. Given the high chance of making the playoffs and a higher chance of an early exit, beefing up this lineup on both sides of the ball would be smart. I'd pick up Bell and then wait for the Bengals to cut loose AJ Green. And then they need to find some help at NT.
  14. Wouldn't be surprised if ARob starts putting more pressure on Bears front office to get a deal done. That injury has to weigh very heavily on his mind right now.
  15. Meanwhile, the Bears sit 4-1 with 4 conference wins and the tiebreaker over the Bucs. Their playoff chances are better than anyone would have reasonably expected at this point. I so screwed up. I was in Vegas that first Thursday of the football season to catch a flight. I had designs on dropping 50 on the Bears making the playoffs, and I got too lazy to go down to the Sports Book and make the bet. I don't even normally bet on sports, so I'm not so sure it was laziness. I like to talk myself out of making fool's bets. In this instance, I may be the fool.
  16. Things are not trending in the right direction. They should just forfeit games for the offending teams at this point. Maybe that will wake them up.
  17. Who gets the first pick? The 0-16 team, or the 0-14 team? I assume the 0-16? They should force teams who can't handle their Corona to forfeit games. It's ridiculous that they bent over backwards to reschedule the Bills Titans game That game needs to happen. Those are my two fantasy QB's.
  18. Normally I watch these games with a lot of emotion. I didn't have the heart for it last night, as Tom Brady always finds a way to kill your hopes and dreams. Foles has had to go against two really great defenses in back to back weeks. Maybe all of that pressure won't be as intense in the coming weeks and he will have more time to throw. But, with losing Daniels, the line took a pretty big hit. Bars will need to be more ready next week than he was this week. Wonder if we would have won the game if Vita Vea didn't get hurt. That seemed to balance the scales after Daniels got hurt.
  19. Apparently there has been recent talk of changing the NFL to a 12 game season. Taking away the 2nd conference games and removing one out of conference game. WIth the Saints test being a fake positive, maybe that was premature discussion. But with flu season approaching, there is concern given the positive tests this week. That certainly increases the Bears chances of making the playoffs. But, I hope we get a full season with teams quarantined instead.
  20. What a relief. I need football in my life right now. Quarantine those bastards!
  21. Yeah, I'm the commissioner of our money fantasy league, and I'm having to text everyone each time there is a change. Ugh. I did create an extra IR spot so that Covid players can be placed there if their teams play anyway. We also changed our entry fee to only $50 instead of $150 knowing this season would have issues. Seems like they need to quarantine these teams if there is an chance of having a full season. It only takes one idiot. Luckily there are bye weeks now. Not sure what they will do once a team gets covid and their bye week has already been used. how's abuck's team doing Haha. Yeah, never again with that guy. Never again. But thanks for reminding me how fun that was. #-o
  22. Or maybe they feel that Trubisky is so gone at this point, Bray would be a better backup option to Trubisky. I can't imagine that either, because people would lose their minds if they brought Bray in instead of Trubisky if Foles had to come out for some reason. It is trade season, so maybe they are shopping for anyone everyone knowing that Trubisky's only real chance is to get a fresh start somewhere else. Bray will likely just be an inactive each Sunday.
  23. It's certainly not trending in the right direction. Now they're postponing or moving the game. My fantasy world is upside down this week (Henry and Mahomes as basically my top 2 players) Yeah, I'm the commissioner of our money fantasy league, and I'm having to text everyone each time there is a change. Ugh. I did create an extra IR spot so that Covid players can be placed there if their teams play anyway. 24. This season is gonna become a horsefeathers show isn't it? It's certainly not trending in the right direction.
  25. Cam Newton has tested postive for Covid. He's out for this Sunday.
