  1. I sure hope you picked up Cleveland against Phily. It pushed my team to victory on the Bears bye week.

    NFL Week 10

The last minute of that game was bonkers Not just for those teams, but for my fantasy teams as well. I had Josh Allen in one, and I was going against Hopkins in both. That play cost me wins in both leagues. Ugh.
  3. Incomplete pass stops clock. Injury can stop play clock without run off. That's right. It was an imcomplete pass. Thanks!
  4. I was curious why there wasn't a 10 second run off on the Foles injury. Is a QB injury exempt from the 10 second run off when you have no time outs?
  5. I'd keep the secondary intact, they are young and good. draft oline, find a taker for Smith, Hicks, and possibly Mack. Dump Travathian, Quinn. If you can draft the Lance, then try him. need a rb in the mid rounds, and a speed rusher, #1 wr next year I wouldn't waste draft capital on an RB. Pierce showed some burst. Give him a bigger look. Miami tossed an UDFA on his third or fourth team into their backfield yesterday and he looked like a first round draft pick. Countless RB's have stepped out of the shadows this year while many of the top RB's sit on IR and have helped keep their team's offense keep moving. What the Bears need is draft picks during a rebuild. The real frustrating part of yesterday's game for me was Minny and their atrocious defense blitzing time and again, and the Bears offense unable to counter with passes over the middle. They didn't even try that. Then Pagano rushes 4 every single play and gives the opposing offense all the time in the world to find an open receiver. When Skrine is the guy covering Thielen, he's bound to get burned when given time for the play to develop. Pathetic on both sides of the ball. Some well planned blitzes by the Bears defense could have stalled many drives. Instead, the vanilla "bend but don't break" defensive scheme allowed first down after first down and enough points to put the game out of reach.
  6. Allen Robinson is the only valuable player on offense, and he won't be here next year. There is a slight chance Lawrence stays in school to avoid being drafted by the Jets. He won't have that option the following year, even though he may not favor being drafted by a team that has an even worse QB history than the Jets. So while it is unlikely, there is a chance the Bears could be tanking for Trevor for 2022. Even if he comes out, they could be putting themselves in position to get the best QB prospect in that draft. So over the next year, they should bring in a new GM and coach and draft OLine heavily and then start trading off defensive assets for draft capital in preparation to make a big splash in the 2022 draft. I see nothing on this roster that leads me to believe they should prepare to be competitive next year. That ship has sailed. Last night's game was one of the most difficult offensive games I've had the displeasure to put myself through. I'm ready to move on from this disaster, blow it up and start over.
  7. Insanity does happen. I had a decent lead going into Sunday night, but my opponent loaded up on Eagles (Boston Scott, Wentz and Fulgham) against that atrocious Dallas defense, and I managed to win somehow. Thought for sure I was going to lose.
  8. Apparently Gardner-Johnson ripped his mouthpiece from his helmet and threw it to the ground. Wims was removed from that particular series. It wasn't until the next offensive series that Wims was on the field that he retaliated. Stupid. Seems like Gardner-Johnson will likely be at least fined for poking a finger inside Miller's helmet and ripping off Wims' mouthpiece.
  9. Apparently Wims retaliated against Gardner-Johnson because on a previous play GJ tried to purposely poke Anthony Miller in the eye. This is the supposedly the same guy that Michael Thomas punched a few weeks back. Sounds like a real nice guy. Doesn't excuse the stupidity from Wims. By my count, the Bears could try and pick up two new WR's this week. Wims is nearly worthless, and Ginn is worthless. I don't even want to talk about the game. All kinds of stupidity. I watched a lot of the Chiefs game before the Bears game, and the fluidity of their passing game doesn't look anything like the train wreck that Nagy tosses out on the field each week.
  10. Hearing it is super windy in Chicago today, which doesn't bode well for the kicking game. Don't expect much of an impact on the long pass play, since neither team is good at that with the current personnel anyway.
  11. Even though the Bears give him no incentive to play. It's not looking good for an extension.
  12. My buddy Dave set up a round at Ram's Hill on Wednesday. It's one of the best public courses in the US, and was actually ranked #1 in a few publications over the years. It's only about 1 3/4 hours away from my house. I offered to drive. We got a little over an hour in, and Dave's wife calls and says his house is flooded. He just happens to be a plumber and he had the same problem 5 years ago. He gets her to turn off the water at the main, but she's pretty useless for pinpointing the problem. Water was definitely coming from upstairs. The other 3 of us don't even want to golf without Dave since he was the one that set it up. But, the round cost $115 each and there was no postponing. So I worked it out where my wife met us at the freeway, and we drove Dave back to meet up with her. She took him home and the other three of us headed back to the course. You have to see this road to appreciate what I personally had to go through to get us most of the way up there, turn around and go back to the freeway, then back to the course again and then back home afterwards. My arms were tired from all the curves. Not to mention driving like a maniac to get there. Dave gets home and it turns out that his sick kid was in bed and his wife turned on the shower for him. She hollered in that the shower was ready and then went downstairs to work on some breakfast for him. A towel had fallen in the shower and blocked the drain. Dave was not very happy. He probably could have just golfed with us. He was more concerned about an actual plumbing problem which forced the water to be turned off. Poor guy. I had 2 birdies. Long day of driving, though.
  13. Maybe Houston and Minny gut their teams even more at the trade deadline. However, needing teams to gut their roster prior to playing them isn't really speaking with much confidence in the Bears to be a threat even if they make it to the playoffs.
  14. I don't think Nagy's play calling was even in a "must win" mode at any point last night. There was one point where a receiver caught a ball and turned upfield along the sidelines rather than get out of bounds and stop the clock. Might have been Graham. The very next play was a run play up the middle for a short gain with time running off the clock. There was another point earlier where they were still huddling up down by three scores. This offense makes me sick.
  15. Ginn has no purpose on this roster.
  16. You need three scores and you are running the ball?
  17. Haven’t been able to run all night. So they run on 4th and 1.
  18. Mooney wasn’t even close to being open there. Pathetic.
  19. Thought for sure they could screen to Monty. There is no rhythm to this offense.
  20. Establish the pass. Score some points and then run the damn ball.
  21. This should be Ginns’s last game as a Bear.
  22. That Mooney pass should have been a td to Miller. Wise open
  23. Big day for the Bear TE’s. Gotta get the ball out quick against Aaron Donald. Maybe more receiving yards for Monty than rush yards tonight. I think they win a defensive battle.
  24. Yeah, that's one theory. The other was that they had always planned to get Tua ready over the bye week, but their bye week got changed due to all the rescheduling. I wouldn't be surprised to see Fitz to Dallas within the next day or two. They can still have a bunch of offensive talent and could make the playoffs in a terrible division. Not that it'll do them any good ultimately, but their too proud not to go for it. They need a ton of help on defense. Might be the worst defense in the league. The Jets actually did pretty well against Buffalo on Sunday.
