Yah....I noticed. :shrug: I'm going to live or die on Halladay and Bonderman today, and they aren't looking all that good today. And Halladay K's the side in the 5th. Glad I was able to light a fire under his butt.

Wow, Quakers. What happened to your bats? So far they are 0-15 with 8 K's and two walks. Brutal.

I don't think the way this team is constructed that they HAVE to be an absolute top OBP team. They will definitely be a top team in SLG, which is the other major offensive stat for a team. When you have 3 guys in the line up that can provide 40+ HR power (Lee, Ramirez, Soriano), and 3 or 4 more guys who provide 25+ HR power (Barrett/Blanco, Murton/Floyd, Jones), you are going to score runs. It helps to have guys on the bases when the doubles and home runs come, but I think they will do that enough to be one of the top scoring teams. So far, I like what I see. I think Piniella will pick and choose the pitchers that he will want the hitters to be more patient with. Today is a pretty good example of that. He's going with an all right handed attack with very quality bats on the bench for the late innings against RH relief pitching. He really isn't sacrificing against Capuano with that line up either. And that's where I think the difference is than in previous years.

Without looking, I'm going to guess I'm dead last in offense and dead first in pitching. 2nd to last in offense, and not all that close to the top in pitching. But, I do have 2 starts today. My bullpen hasn't done much for my pitching.

Nice! I feel sorry for the Brewers RH bullpen with Ward, Floyd, Jones and Izturis all coming off the bench. Well. Not really.

Awesome. Good to see Lou understands Jones can't hit lefties. WOW! I never thought I'd see the day that a Cub manager would see the value of sitting Jacque Jones against a lefty starter. And Lou didn't even hesitate to do it. Sweet. Lou for President!

Did you calculate the SP ERA yourself, or do you have a place that you can look it up? That's probably the one stat (coupled with RP team ERA) that I'd like easy access to.

I'm hoping for something similar to what everyone else has done over the last 4 games. But, can the Cubs really shut down the Brewers offense 3 days in a row? I'm scared that Miller will pay the price for the last 2 games. But, I'm hoping for something similar to what Lilly did this week.

I think it depends on the people who run the cable company, DirecTV, Dish. I've had really bad customer service with past providers and I currently have excellent customer service. They should all have excellent customer service since they have to fight over consumers using their product. Weird that I am reading about so much poor service. -

Don't even say cancellation of games for KC and Tampa. I've been without my 1b, one of my outfielders and my best closer for the a whole series. Couple that in with a an outfielder with less than 10 at bats and a utility guy with maybe 5 at bats? If I win this week, it will be a miracle.

I wouldn't mind some more at bats this week. 106 so far this week. That has to be the lowest AB total in the league by far. I'm almost 50 at bats behind my opponent. Pitching? Not so bad. 5 starts, 5 QS.

Wow, that's pretty steep. Basically 30 bucks a month. I'll still pay it though, assuming it's an option. It's steep if you only watch Cub games. I watch every game I can, which makes the price pennies per game. -
Would have sworn that Willie Hernandez would have been on the list, but he only had 27 saves as a Cub. Hmm.
