  1. Hold on, let me get out my Polish Football for Dummies book. Italian team, on the road, against a weak team. Under. I'm thiking 1-0 Udinese. Or a 0-0.
  2. Who's your source? PM me. Ps, even if you don't, I'm going to act like you did to make everyone else jealous.
  3. Goodbye for Ben Gordon after the season. It also means the end of Kirk Hinrich too probably. i heard recently that OKC was pretty interested in gordon from chicago to okc, ouch Gordon is the kind of guy who is smart enough to have perspective and wouldn't let living in OKC affect his play. He's probably the most intelligent guy on the Bulls and seems to have a great grip on separating emotions from playing. The way he handles the press and the way he handled constantly being juggled from the starting lineup to the bench never bothered him. He'll put up his 18-25 points every night and go back to New York in the offseason.
  4. A 6'7 shooting guard that can score? What does this mean for Ben Gordon?
  5. http://www.forbes.com/lists/2008/32/nba08_NBA-Team-Valuations_Income.html Reinsdorf haters, you're welcome.
  6. Wow, that's awesome for OKC. Why would NO do that, though? :-k Both those contracts are up after this year iirc. The Hornets are also probably going to move in the next couple years as well. Hopefully to Vegas or San Diego.
  7. Chris Bosh is soft, but he could run a sweet pick and roll with Rose.
  8. Do you not watch NBA on TNT?
  9. Unless he goes nuts with Toni out, he's not going to command the price MLS will want for him. He's going to end up back with the Gals. The gamethread on BS seemed to have the slant that LD had a few clear chances, should have put one away and wasn't as assertive as he needed to be, but that FC Hollywoods' keeper and backline suck. He definitely isn't being assertive, but really, Klose disappears for whole games. Toni and Donovan are more active than him. Honestly Podolski and Toni should start, but that ship has already sailed. Landon's playing too far up where he can't use his speed as much and people seem to be taking away the center of the midfield from Van Bommel and ZeRoberto easily so they can't play it in to Landon. It's always played in by Ribery or Schwein on the wings. Rensing doesn't suck, but he isn't a number one for a big club. Lucio and DiMichelis can both be very good individually but aren't organized well. Lell sucks. Lahm is awesome. The only player worth a crap yesterday was Schweinstager.
  10. I'm not going to go into the ludicrous comparison of your playing experience and his, but suffice it to say it's hilariously irrelevant.
  11. Donovan played 60 minutes and did jack s against Hertha Berlin today. He wasn't bad, but really, no one was good for Bayern.
  12. +1 -1 I don't know of anyone who doesn't realize Jerry's a problem. Nothing can be done about JR. Maybe shout at him a little bit from the curb as he gets in his limo. I'm gonna sneak up on him while he is polishing his 7 championship rings that his teams won for him and then yell at him.
  13. 9-4-3 in their last 16 games. They aren't that bad. Only 2 games under .500. Take out a 5 game losing streak when everyone was hurt and Legace was ass and they're a contender for a low playoff seed. Really, they are a talented team with a weird mix of youth and experience. No shame in losing to them. And in the midst of all this [expletive] Kane bashing, maybe he isn't a wuss, he's just too small to take a full season's beating when people are gunning for him.
  14. Bradley scored for Monchengladbach today to earn a point.
  15. Dude. How can you forget the Jalen Rose era? I don't think Thomas was that iffy. We were a playoff team and it looked like we could take on a project because after all, we just signed super-stud, Ben Wallace. Aldridge was definitely a sure thing or NBA ready according to most scouts. Thabo obviously sucks, but who else should we have gotten in hindsight?
  16. Explain. He didn't pull off any coups, but he didn't do anything unforgivable either. Even Tyrus/Aldridge isn't looking terrible.
  17. In a lot of game wraps I've read, I've noticed a lot of people saying Pavel Pardo had a good game. What? How on earth can you rate him when he, Mr. Experienced, Mr. Bundesliga stud, Mr. Mexican Ballack had a 21 year old dominate him for 92 minutes? He wasn't at fault for either goal, but the way Mikey and co completely bypassed him with their combination rendered him useless. You don't have to bury the guy, but you can't give him a good grade.
  18. Skiles took the same players to the playoffs 3 times. Paxson is the one who brought in Wallace. They are both at fault.
  19. "Pete Vecesy is not a credible enough source to comment on. Two weeks ago he had John being fired, now he has him resigning." -Jerry Reinsdorf http://deadspin.com/5153121/bad-news-peter-vecsey-says-youre-fired
  20. seriously? that's fantastic. Yep, thanks mostly to our immigrant brethren. http://theoriginalwinger.com/2009-02-13-us-mexico-tv-ratings-massive
  21. The qualifier, which was on paid television, beat Idol.
  22. 4) Pax had a deal in place for Amare, but JR wouldn't sign off? Two articles back-to-back on the Sun-Times page. Bulls are front runners for Amare: http://www.suntimes.com/sports/basketball/bulls/1429010,CST-SPT-bullnt13.article Paxson is resigning after the dead line: http://www.suntimes.com/sports/basketball/bulls/1429502,vecsey-paxson-resign-021309.article
  23. I don't know what to make of this. Three scenarios? 1) The Pax resignation is bs, 2) Reinsdorf and someone else is behind the Amare deal and Pax is resigning because he is against it or 3) Pax is behind it, but is burnt out.
  24. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AitoG7d8J4n6Ar9obsElVN68vLYF?slug=aw-sunsheat021309&prov=yhoo&type=lgns Marion is not going back to Phoenix. He's just not. The reason they want to trade Shaq and Amare is beacuse Robert Sarver is losing money hand over fist, they are over the luxury tax and Marion makes a ton of money. Although he is a free agent at the end of the year so maybe it isn't impossible. It would be a coup for Memphis to get Beasley and Mayo together though.
