  2. Who wants to join an ESPN Auction league and go up against some Cardinals fans? PM me your email and I'll send and invite. First 5 join.
  3. Deuce on the board for Fulham today.
  4. No prob.

  6. Why not? Outside of Rose, he is the only player opponents of the Bulls have to care about. If he was a #2 scorer on a good team, he would not get the ball as much, but would get great looks. I explained it sufficiently in the post you quoted. Obviously some people like Gordon, some people don't and some people, like me, are in the middle because we know he's useful but also know he has major limitations. The question you need to ask is how much is he worth? He's going to get paid. He's going to get paid more than he's worth. If you want to build a champion on the shoulders of a point guard, you need really good to great sidekicks. If Ben Gordon is willing to take third fiddle money (which he turned down in the offseason, 5-50) then give it to him, but he's made it clear he's doesn't want third fiddle money. We already wasted huge cash on Deng and it's going to be hard to get rid of. We absolutely cannot afford to make another mistake of giving too much money to a second tier guy. Not if we want to compete with the Cleveland LeBron's and the Orlando Dwight's.
  7. Ben would be a second option on good to great teams. Incorrect. Why not? He averages 20 points and is usually the go-to guy on a terrible team. How many players who score 20 a game are not the second scoring option? Citing PPG by itself is getting dangerously close to citing RBIs Correct. Ben Gordon on a very good team does not score 20 and even if he does it's irrelevant without taking team defense, shot selection, team offense and per minute efficiency into account. Which is what I was getting at without really explaining it very well or at all. Second scoring option implies he plays major minutes and gets the second most looks on a good to great team. I don't think that would be possible or wise unless you had an unrealistically good front court. Ben Gordon would be devastating on a team like the Lakers, Celtics or Spurs. On a team where he is the second or third best player, he's good and valuable, but the team isn't very good.
  8. Ben would be a second option on good to great teams. Incorrect.
  9. Ben Gordon is good. He can't be your 1st or 2nd option, but he is a very useful player.
  10. Bayern are just being douches at this point. 7-1, 12-1 on aggregate.
  11. I think I'm getting an El Tri game.
  12. He and Drew Gooden have not been cool with the Bulls medical staff's advice to toughen up. They say it's not fractured and he needs to rest it during the day, take it easy in practice but tough it out in the games and he thinks it's a fracture.
  13. There is life yet in those limbs. http://www.noshortcorners.com/ I hope he doesn't play well enough to give more false hope to the MNT staff.
  14. I want to make the playoffs just to give Rose playoff experience at a young age something CP3 or Deron Williams never got until like their 3rd season. Yeah and they suck. Think of how much better they'd be with 5 extra games under their belt. Especially if those 5 extra games were under one of the worst coaches I've ever seen. Oh wait...
  15. Landon just got robbed. Oddo crossed and Landon hit a blistering volley from about 10 yards out in the box and Hannover's keeper somehow got a strong enough hand on it to deflect it out. Too bad. I would've liked him to get a goal in a real match.
  16. Mo is starting for Rangers again. Looks like he is in the squad for good.
  17. Sounds like the Blues are dodging the Pronger bullet. They insisted on Oshie which just isn't ever going to happen.
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZrS5mW_J1I&feature=channel_page Gateway Redbirds hurt this dork's feelings.
  19. I'll be honest, I've always loved Mastro. I don't want him when we're fielding our best squad or when I want them to play good football, but in the games when we're outclassed (Argentina last summer comes to mind) and we need to play some ugly, 10 men behind the ball soccer, he was money. He would have been great in a low-tier premiership or italian team.
  20. I'll streak through Mexico City painted in Red White and Blue if he ever becomes near as good as Essien.
  21. The Daily Record with an article on Maurice Edu. I'm glad Mo has half of Glasgow half chubbed, but good lord this article is hyperbole central. Most of all this quote from his college coach: Yikes. I had no idea Maurice was one of the best players in the world! Link.
  22. Inter-Roma and Atletico-Barca were incredible games today.
  23. Edu went 90 for Rangers today. Bradley scored from the spot for Monchengladbach.
  24. http://theoffsiderules.blogspot.com/2009/02/nevada-smiths-movie.html This is awesome.
  25. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/090227 That is one depressing article for NBA fans.
