    I'm sure they are saying the same thing about the successes of Soto, Dempster, Marmol, Fontenot and Theriot. Marmol and Soto were top 10 prospects in the Cubs system at one time, Soto was even a top 75 prospect in all of baseball going into last season. Before his last year in the minors, Soto wasn't anything more than a middling prospect in the Cubs org projected to be a backup catcher in the bigs. The fact that all the sudden he had a breakout year at age 25, made the majors and won ROY still irks some Cards fans. No doubt Marmol was a top 10 prospect, but the way he took over the setup role and became arguably the best setup guy in baseball also irks Cards fans. Are you guys talking to the Cardinals fans in your head or going to stltoday for your inside info? I've never heard anyone complain about Soto and Marmol.

    Throws a 2 seam fastball usually 88-92, sits consistently 89-90. Throwaway slider. Plus change. About 9 so/9 in the minors, but unlikely to come close to that in the majors.     Ronaldo's goal was a perfect example of why I take him over Messi. He plays with an arrogant aggression that gives him the confidence to pull of [expletive] like that. He can do it all. If he was less groomed and less petulant, I'd love him.

    my favorite part of yesterday's game was essien's big melon head stopping that shot from the line when cech was way out in front of the net. Was Cech drunk yesterday? He looked really horrible. it was the worst game i've ever seen him play. i didn't get to see this weekends game v. bolton but it sounded like the defense was bad there too. JT suuuuuucked against Bolton. They need to start thinking of long term replacements for he and Carvalho.

    I will pick Barcelona to advance, but there is the wild card you need to account for that their offense is threaded through Xavi who will be getting an ass full of my guy. Essien can and will shut any one down.

    It all depends on how the Bulls attack Orlando. If we force Orlando to go to an up-tempo game, I think we'll win the series. I have a lack of confidence in Del Negro being able to outcoach SVG in a seven game series. With the way the Bulls are currently playing, I don't see this being a 7 game series. I have ??? about the Magic depth outside of their starting lineup. Outside of Howard they don't have much of a defensive prowess, and offensively it's either dump it in to Howard (and sometimes the Magic forget to include Howard in their offense) or basically settle for the 3 pointer. In other words, I would be disappointed if the Bulls don't win the series. lollllll I don't really disagree with your analysis of the Magic based on recent performance, but you're throwing it out there without any analysis on the Bulls, which is important, considering they are the comparative other half of the equation. You say Howard is the only good defender on the Magic. Hinrich is the Bulls best defender and he's working on grindy hustle and not much else. You say their offense is dump it in to Howard or settle for a three pointer. As opposed to the Bulls offense of just settle for a 3 pointer.
