  2. thats waisis. Well Lindsey Hunter is smart, but he isn't a guy. Derrick Rose is probably pretty smart, but when you are fantastic you don't have to use adjectives like "smart" to justify your place on a team.
  3. For the record, I no longer think Hinrich's contract is terrible. He can really play with Rose. He seems like he gets how to make it work, probably because he's a smart player and everyone else we have isn't.
  4. [expletive] me. That's the most insane thing I've ever seen in my entire life. He's not even that good. WHAT? It's the sun, so I'm going to act like it's not true for now. Somewhere, Ramon Calderon's replacement is really, really mad. Somewhere else, Alex Ferguson is really, really happy. Stupid Sheiks and their [expletive] oil money.
  5. My guy making a nice move? http://www.soccerbyives.net/soccer_by_ives/2009/01/kljestan-heading-to-celtic-for-training-stint-could-lead-to-transfer.html Not ideal, I'd like him to go somewhere to work on his passing, but as far as clubs go, Celtic obviously ain't too shabby. He and his gorgeous locks would look good in the hoops.
  6. Get O'Neal and Bargnani for Noah, Nocioni and something else.
  7. http://www.fcbayern.t-com.de/en/news/matchreport/2009/18288.php?fcb_sid=9a795123c37063a2c7e9c044e25405f3 I'll post some highlights when they post them.
  8. I think the biggest difference between the two is that Landon will occasionally score a goal or two... Well that's not entirely fair. Landon obviously has more caps, but Arshavin's rate at Zenit really isn't impressive at all.

  10. Davis is a first round draft pick, probably in the top 15. Wow, really? http://www.draftcountdown.com/sub/Mock-Draft-A.php #15 to the Pats in this one. Aka, you'll see him in a Pro Bowl in two years.
  11. Certainly individually talented players are not what puts you over the top. Haha, I just got done watching highlights from Messi's hat trick the other day. Btw, this is cool to see: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11827_4763619,00.html
  12. Walker got jacked in the face with a cross check before he threw the punch. He shouldn't get punished just because he has a howitzer for a right arm.
  13. Patrik Berglund has been our best player this year. Frankly, no Blue deserves an all-star nod.
  14. I was at the game last night. That was an absolute pantsing. Then of course, my boy (former blue badass) Matt Walker, made one of my sporting dreams come true when he ko'd Jovo, my arch enemy. By the time Fedoruk pulled his punk move on Huet, the place was 80% Hawks fan and it was fun to boo him off the ice. Those were the only two times in my life I'll ever cheer for the Hawks.
  15. I'm starting to dislike Freddy just because I assume he doesn't try. So now I move on to this kid: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story?id=575144&sec=us&root=us&cc=5901 I like this part. Also, I just noticed this, but Bob Bradley speaks in the same tone and cadence as Barack Obama. He could do a great Obama.
  16. He actually did have some hamstring issues last year. James Harden would be a perfect compliment to Derrick Rose and I'm not just saying that because he's the best basketball player to ever play for ASU. He is going to be a legitimate star. His strength/athleticism/body control is awesome. And he has an awesome beard. Can he play D unlike Gordon? I don't think he'll ever be anything great defensively. He's 6'5, really strong, has long arms but has average speed. He'd never be a lock down guy, especially against top shooting guards. So let me rephrase that can he play D better than the Matador Ben Gordon? Yeah and more importantly has the size to actually body up on a two offensively and defensively. Having a 2 that can work a pick and roll with Rose would be a great weapon as opposed to just shooting long jumpers.
  17. IT'S ALL HAPPENING Adu started, played 68 and drew a penalty in a friendly against Juve. Be still my heart.

  20. http://blog.washingtonpost.com/soccerinsider/ You go, Rongen. Make sure to burn those bridges before they leave. Maybe get them economy tickets back to their big professional clubs or something. You tell those u-20 players to go back to their Bundesliga, Bundeslia 2 (soon to be promoted probably) and Seria A teams. Don't take care of it in house, just kick 'em to the curb. Tell them to say hi to Subotic when they see him.
  21. He's no Subotic or Rossi, but this is interesting.
  22. He would have been a great short term solution. His offense by default creates a ton of shots. This means a ton of points to go around. This also means a ton of rebounds available. The scrubs on this team would have been able to inflate their stats and actually make them desired around the league. The flip side of that is how overvalued they would be to Paxson. He already falls in love with his guys. Just think what he'd do when they are putting up hollow numbers.
  23. Lol, who's he going to play? Thabo? Come on.
  24. I agree that Vinny is bad right now, but it's his first year. He has room to develop a system. I'm not ready to say he's always going to be a bad coach yet. I am ready to say that the Bulls shouldn't have hired him though. He may well be the next Pat Riley, but this team needed structure, a defensive system and discipline. That sounds familiar. Maybe they should have blown out the roster, not the coach, but then Paxson would have to take culpablity. All I know is that D'Antoni would have been a long-term huge mistake, Vinny doesn't have the experience to mold a young team and Paxson has drafted terribly. I think Larry Brown should have been the hire. He'd teach the team right and step down in 3 years. Right on time to make a run in his last year with a dominant Rose and the season right after the huge FA class. I'm just bitter because the Bulls are to me, a top job in the NBA. Celtics, Lakers, Knicks and Bulls. If you're a marquee franchise with a marquee franchise rookie, you don't hire a raw coach.
