  1. Noc plays stupid, Hinrich is too expensive for a backup and GORDON is too one-dimensional. If I'm keeping someone I guess it's Tyrus because if you put him with the right system he could be a 15-10 guy with a modicum of effort. Edit - I'm am so, so, so, so, so very sorry Derrick.
  2. I'm happy that we "lost out" on D'Antoni too. We need to play defense to win titles. I'm torn with Gordon. I think he'll get more money than he's worth and hamstring us for 2010. I'm in the knee-jerk, overreaction camp that wants to dump anyone who makes anything other than Rose before 2010.
  3. The Bulls are bad. They don't guard anybody. Their top earner got his money and now sucks. Their reliable scorer is going to leave. Their high draft pick big men are lazy and seemingly uncoachable.
  4. This is almost as schadenfreudtastic as the Marquis signing. Congrats on white Neifi!
  5. GOALKEEPERS- Jon Busch (Chicago Fire), Will Hesmer (Columbus Crew), Troy Perkins (Valerenga IF), Matt Pickens (out of contract) DEFENDERS-Jonathan Bornstein (Chivas USA), Danny Califf (FC Midtjylland), Sean Franklin (Los Angeles Galaxy), Cory Gibbs (Colorado Rapids), Clarence Goodson (IK Start), Chad Marshall (Columbus Crew), Chris Wingert (Real Salt Lake), Marvell Wynne (Toronto FC) MIDFIELDERS - Geoff Cameron (Houston Dynamo), Brian Carroll (Columbus Crew), Ricardo Clark (Houston Dynamo), Eddie Gaven (Columbus Crew), Stuart Holden (Houston Dynamo), Jack Jewsbury (Kansas City Wizards), Sacha Kljestan (Chivas USA), Robbie Rogers (Columbus Crew), John Thorrington (Chicago Fire) FORWARDS- Brian Ching (Houston Dynamo), Kenny Cooper (FC Dallas), Charlie Davies (Hammarby IF), Chris Rolfe (Chicago Fire) -----------------------------Busch--------------------------------- Wynne----------Marshall-------------Gibbs------------Franklin Kljestan-------------Clark-----------Holden-------------Rogers ---------------------Cooper---------Davies-----------------------
  6. Clinton mother [expletive] Dempsey. MOTM. That header was class. Fulham unbeaten in 9.
  7. I'd prefer athletic big men who can double teams and have post moves (Bosh, Stoudemire) because the transition game plays to our future superstar's strengths.
  8. If we can find that thread you'll see some posts by me shouting that when a Kobe is offered, you give them what they want and ask no questions. People are starting to see it now with Rose. That is that you are always closer to a championship in the NBA when you have a superstar to build around than you are with just a handful of good guys. The Pistons threw everyone for a loop and kind of spat in the face of that law of basketball, but the reality is it was only one year. They faced no competition in the East, and that Lakers team was a hot mess by the time it got to the final. You need a marquee guy or a couple of guys just below that level and good defense to be a contending force in the NBA. There are Pistonsesque exceptions occasionally, but not very often. Well for that matter, I could argue that the Pistons overcame their lack of a marquee guy by having 4-5 all stars or near all stars who played unbelievable defense. Before anyone mentions the Spurs I'll just say that Tim Duncan is indeed a superstar AND they have always played elite defense. This team garbage the Bulls have been spouting since they drafted the Hinrich/Gordon/Deng core is garbage. Watching the game today showed a lot of what I think the Bulls need. They need Tyrus to be Josh Smith, they need a big shooting guard who can shoot outside, drive and distribute like Joe Johnson and they need athletic big men. I have no idea how the Hawks don't play better defense with their athleticism. If ever a team needed Scott Skiles, it's the Hawks.
  9. I don't suppose anybody here knows the extent of Bullard's injury today? I'd really hate to see Fulham fall back into danger after playing so well this year (since Deuce started getting time heh).
  10. This looks to be the last word. http://www.noshortcorners.com/
  11. Are they still in the FA Cup?
  12. Yeah, Subotic is a foregone conclusion. He's just very good. I love how Clint has taken care of business at Fulham this year. He does everything right. He's already injured.
  13. Update from SI: This is annoying.
  14. Neven SUCKotic chooses SUCKbia. Screw whoever pissed this kid off. Rongen, Bradley, etc. Go away. Castillo, Rossi and Subotic (especially the latter two) are better than anyone we have at those positions. Rossi and Subotic may be better than anyone we have EVER had at those positions. Especially the way Bocanegra is playing at left back for Rennes, we could easily, easily start Subotic right now.
  15. As am I with Sporting.
  16. Inter-Man U is going to be awesome.
  17. Goal.com
  18. WE DRAFTED THE WRONG POINT GUARD.
  19. Damn. I wanted to go. Maybe I'll go to the Sweden game in January instead.
  20. How do you say something after words? Jk. I agree, Pierce is obnoxious. It all started with him acting like Inglewood's hardest and throwing the Crip sign at Horford. There were probably things before that, but he wasn't relevant enough for anyone to be paying attention.
  21. At this point, I don't think counseling would do anything to a trash-talking, fashion-loving d-bag like Avery. And if it did, he'd be useless.
  22. Hey now, Sacha Kahn getting some love. Link With the economy down and Americans generally being great value, I think this could be a busy January, and a bloody one for MLS. The Mail On Sunday is a fairly reputable source, especially in the British media world.
  23. I can't wait to find out the names of the clients of the third division man whore who claims to have at least 13 Seria A clients. That's the kind of drama that only Serie A can provide.
  24. Salt Lake is whiteyville. I'm thinking about going to Azteca this year. Anyone ever done it? Oh yeah, it is very much so. But, like you, how many people can easily drive up from the Southwest? I guess I don't really care. They can play it here in Phoenix or at the Rose Bowl for all I care. We can beat them regardless, we don't need the gimmicks of trying to freeze out the immigrants.
