  1. Liverpool pays 35 million pounds for Andy Carroll. Move over, Wayne Rooney, we have a new most overrated player in the world. Good god that's [expletive].
  2. I like it. He's a big game player. He'll thrive fighting for a spot. Matches upcoming vs United, Deuce & Stu Holden. Exciting stuff.
  3. Blackburn have a new best player. JJ got man of the match. Did his usual cover anything from the back of the midfield.
  4. Agudelo and Bunbury have me very excited for this MLS season. They have shown amazing maturity with the Nats.
  5. Below is a link to a pic of Contona at the presser. Linked because it's too high res to post. http://www.nycosmos.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Cantona_Press1.jpg
  6. Terry Byrne, Cobi Jones, Contona and Beckham still denies he's going to be part owner?
  7. This is a perfect fit. Perfect. I hope this goes through. If B Mo sells him, they're certain to be relegated. http://msn.foxsports.com/foxsoccer/premierleague/story/Cats-lining-up-bid-for-USA-star-Bradley
  8. Groan. http://sports.yahoo.com/soccer/news;_ylt=AnzlJ4AC25dV67q.c9TyieYmw7YF?slug=ro-notebook011311
  9. Absolutely not. He arranged a switch from Chivas De Guadalajara for the expressed reason that he is not going to be a Mexican International.

  11. I like what he's doing. He can be a Championship level player constantly in his brother's shadow, or he can come here for a fresh start. More interested in playing soccer than going to clubs and letting girls know he's the much better looking brother of Wayne Rooney.
  12. Bayern Munich u-20 Captain Fabian Hurzeler interview on SBI: http://www.soccerbyives.net/soccer_by_ives/2011/01/us-under-20-spotlight-fabian-huerzeler.html USA USA USA USA That accent says it all.
  13. Wrigley isn't remotely big enough for a match http://www.hottimeinoldtown.com/2011/1/3/1889286/manchester-united-in-my-wrigley-field-its-more-likely-than-you-think
  14. Dempsey nets v West Brom.
  15. Rumor roundup: Jermaine Jones - Hoffenheim Stuart Holden - if Coyle goes to Liverpool, Stu follows. Dempsey - Liverpool, Wolfsburg. Onyewu - Genoa, Twente. Adrian Ruelas - Celtic Feilhaber - Cruz Azul, Botafogo. Altidore - Mainz 05, St Pauli. Rumors are out there about Mikey, Landon and others but they're mostly summer transfer window possibilities. Jones, Feilhaber and Onyewu are definitely moving this month though. For those who don't know, Guzan got a loan to Hull already.
  16. Camp cupcake: GOALKEEPERS: Dominic Cervi (Celtic), Sean Johnson (Chicago Fire), Matt Pickens (Colorado Rapids), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake) DEFENDERS: A.J. DeLaGarza (Los Angeles Galaxy), Sean Franklin (Los Angeles Galaxy), Omar Gonzalez (Los Angeles Galaxy), Ugo Ihemelu (FC Dallas), Zach Loyd (FC Dallas), Ryan Miller (Halmstads BK), Tim Ream (New York Red Bulls), Anthony Wallace (Colorado Rapids), Marvell Wynne (Colorado Rapids) MIDFIELDERS: Eric Alexander (FC Dallas), Alejandro Bedoya (Örebro), Sam Cronin (San Jose Earthquakes), Mikkel Diskerud (Stabaek), Jeff Larentowicz (Colorado Rapids), Dax McCarty (D.C. United), Brek Shea (FC Dallas) FORWARDS: Juan Agudelo (New York Red Bulls), Justin Braun (Chivas USA), Teal Bunbury (Sporting Kansas City), Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes)
  17. Stuart Holden on the Guardian's midseason Best XI: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2010/dec/21/readers-premier-league-team-season-so-far
  18. No play for Charlie. In bad Charlie impersonators news, this is a bad idea for Mick McCarthy: http://www.mls-rumors.net/13034/2010/12/outgoing-robbie-findley-to-epl-wolverhampton/
  19. http://www.soccerbyives.net/soccer_by_ives/2010/12/davies-to-dress-for-sochaux-on-sunday-match-will-air-on-fox-soccer-channel.html
  20. It's not. First-place teams are at home in the second leg. Wish Tottenham could have gotten a bit better of a draw than AC Milan but oh well. I think they're going to give Milan fits. Their speed could easily be too much for Milan. Especially their older players. Bale, Modric, Lennon, Defoe and the craft and experience of Van Der Vaart, that's pretty nasty.
  21. It's a bummer Spurs drew Milan. You have me excited.
  22. 2011 Gold Cup Final is in Pasadena. I will be in attendance.
  23. Tristen Bowen from Galaxy across the hall to Chivas. I really enjoy how weird MLS is. Edit - and the Gals got Heydude. Loading for bear to win it in Beck's contract year.
  24. WHOA Jual Pablo to LA? --Buddle-----Juan Pablo--- --Landon----Ronny----Becks-- ------------Juninho-------------
  25. MLS Re-Entry draft (which I believe basically means free agent draft) is going on and it's just convoluted and hectic as the expansion draft. So far weird stuff in Jimmy Conrad to Chivas and Frankie Hejduk to KC. One old, expensive defender for another? Why? Intriguing is Chris Seitz to Seattle. If that kid has any chance of living up to his potential, backing up double K for a year is a great place to start.
