  1. Up to date info has him going 124. This is clearly reckless behavior and I don't know if there's some depression involved coming up on the one year of the crash coupled with the lack of progress in his rehab or maybe he's just a moron. All I know is that I've been in a crash, granted one without serious injury, and I've driven recklessly since so I can't totally write him off as a total jackass. This isn't going to bode well for his relationship with Sochaux though. He'll be a NE Revolution at the start of next MLS season, guaranteed.
  2. Chuck D busted going 110 in his Audi: http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5jcanx2BrTiORXL-hCyuhI050xDGA?docId=CNG.275a2441a19480bb4f81f1d19e552e2f.571
  3. #2 is Omar Gonzalez which leaves Montero for tomorrow at #1.
  4. @FakeBobBradley Boys are chillin, watching a pirated version of "The Town," JJ is viewing Baywatch reruns, & Junior is reviewing game film of when he was 6. lol
  5. In case any of you MLS fans haven't been following the unnecessarily drawn out 24 best under 24 ranking on their web site (they release one ranking a day), here it is: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/24-under-24-3-andy-najar-dc-united We're down to #3 Andy Najar. So far I'm on board, though there's no way I rate Steve Zakuani over Mwanga in terms of potential. And if this isn't about potential, Najar shouldn't be that high. Regardless, there are a ton of dual nationals on the list, so a ton of Rossi potential situations.
  6. He's done as soon as they find an owner. BLACKPOOL? Really? Torres is going to leave in January.
  7. Sweet Jesus, Pirlo. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/soccerinsider/2010/10/video_pirlos_goal_for_ac_milan.html
  8. For me, it's an egregious enough offense from Jack Warner for us and Mexico to legitimately start making inquiries about the possibility of joining CONMEBOL. That would make it far tougher to qualify, unless FIFA decided to shift 2 bids from CONCACAF to CONMEBOL and make the remaining CONCACAF teams share a bid with Oceania or something. It would up the coefficient at least two spots. It'd still be doable. It's not going to happen and shouldn't happen, but I'd like to see it used as leverage to get Warner under control. Friendly roster: G - Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Tim Howard (Everton) D - Carlos Bocanegra (Saint-Étienne), Steve Cherundolo (Hannover 96), Clarence Goodson (IK Start), Eric Lichaj (Aston Villa), Oguchi Onyewu (AC Milan), Michael Parkhurst (FC Nordsjælland), Heath Pearce (FC Dallas), Jonathan Spector (West Ham United) M - Alejandro Bedoya (Örebro), Michael Bradley (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Maurice Edu (Rangers), Benny Feilhaber (Aarhus), Stuart Holden (Bolton), Jermaine Jones (Schalke), Brek Shea (FC Dallas) F - Jozy Altidore (Villarreal), Clint Dempsey (Fulham), Eddie Johnson (Fulham) It's MLS crunch time, and Galaxy have games so no Landon/Gonzo. Hot new gear I will buy: http://theoriginalwinger.com/2010-09-30-new-york-cosmos-announce-kit-deal-with-umbro

  10. http://deadspin.com/5651159/when-the-premier-leaguer-met-the-hot-tranny-some-oral-stuff-happened Salcido pulls a fat Ronaldo.
  11. Five man midfield is a must. It covers our weaknesses and highlights our strengths. That's all there is to it. Our best line up is this: -----------------------------Th----------------------- -Cherundolo/Franklin--Gooch--DeMerit--Bocanegra -----------------Jones--------Mikey------------------ ------Dempsey----------Stu-----------Donovan------- -----------------------Altidore---------------------- That's if the world cup was starting today (and Gooch was healthy). We have a ton of midfielders coming through that are too good to leave on the bench in lieu of some scrub striker. Yeah Benny dominating in a league that makes MLS look world class isn't anything to scoff at because I love what it says about his attitude and the mere fact that he's maintained health for the better part of a year is great. Here's Benny's goal, a nasty, bending free kick at the 1:55 mark of the clip: http://watchsocceronline.blogspot.com/2010/09/feilhaber-scores-game-winning-goal-for.html 5 goals and 5 assists in his last 3 games.
  12. I would very much like Andy Najar to play for the US. Check this goal: http://voices.washingtonpost.com/soccerinsider/2010/09/matchnight_dc_united_vs_housto.html
  13. Bradley left foots a solid finish off a good build up vs Schalke for his first goal of the year. Patented Mike, following the play with a deep run into the box. Btw, I was impressed with the rookie Tim Ream last night v the Galaxy. His positioning and composure was very nice. Marked Buddle and then Donovan when he moved up late in the match. New York is for real. Marquez is the best central midfielder in the league, Ream is solid, Richards' speed is a game changer and obviously the two best pure strikers in the league don't hurt your chances either. I'd love to see them in a final against RSL and see what Kreis can do to stop them. The Marquez-Morales match up would be something to see.
  14. So the mass FMF discipline of El Tri was for hookers. Step your game up, Vela. It can't be that hard for you.
  15. I don't see how Noah and Favors are at all similar. Here's one way they are: Neither will ever be a top 5 player in the league.
  16. Don't look now but the Sounders are up 2-0 on Monterrey and are about to become the first US based team to win on Mexican soil.
  17. Regardless of how much credit he claimed or deserves, there are enough serious questions about Klinssmann tactically to warrant not hiring him. He has one mode - attack. When that fails he tries to attack more and it led to some laughable formations at Bayern. Also, those specific decisions affected one person's position at the club even more than it affected his own: Landon Donovan. USS is spot on about MLS. Making the USMNT good isn't their goal, but by producing a handful of exportable players each year, they'll make tidy profits, which is their goal. They've already realized that with the huge gains they've made on Altidore, Guzan, Edu etc. Another great sign is that MLS is already producing some quality, quality coaching. Jason Kreis could be the best American manager of all-time when it's all said and done. RSL is an incredibly managed, well-oiled machine without the benefit of any high priced stars. Next if we could only develop some referees.
  18. Who suuuuuucked. That dude is so ineffectual on the field. Makes really stupid decisions off the ball.
  19. US U-20 forward moves from Santos Laguna to Celtic on some sort of loan agreement: http://www.yanks-abroad.com/get.php?mode=blog&entry=117
  20. Top of the list. Sweet Jesus that goal yesterday was filthy.
  21. I give Mo a 7 today. Was composed and disciplined in the midfield. Was the only mid who tried to do anything going forward trailing the striker.
  22. Aahahhahaha First this: http://www.soccerbyives.net/.a/6a00e54ef2975b88330134874c09ff970c-400wi Then this: @taylortwellmen yes #Becks borrowed a jersey out of my closet but he didn't ask me if he could steal my thunder. better to b copied than to copy I guess :)
  23. I didn't see the game, but I saw Clint started at RM. Duff sucks. It's about time.
  24. The day he was old enough to sign a professional contrat, West Ham gave Seba Lletget that paper: http://www.whufc.com/articles/20100903/happy-birthday-for-lletget_2236884_2143922 Now we need to find some forwards that can convert his passes into goals. From what I heard last year, Zola loved this kid and compared him to players like Xavi Hernandez and Wesley Sneijder in terms of style of play. Hopefully guys like Jack Mac and Mwanga at Philly, who are his age, can come through. We really need to move to a 4-5-1 with our midfielders and lack of forwards. It just seems so obvious.
  25. This international break is unacceptable.
