    I doubt that they're desperate to move $13/1. Also, I doubt that Joe Torre wants to start his Dodger tenure with a rookie SS. If you offered to take most of Pierre's deal, you could probably get rid of Marquis (maybe Eyre and Blanco, too?) and possibly get Ethier in the process. I doubt many here would find that appealing.

    Instead of the Cubs signing Jenkins, I'd like to see the Bears sign him. Give him uniform number 4. Then, at least they'd have a quarterback who LOOKED like a Hall of Famer.

    The chances of the Cubs trading Rich Hill in a deal for either Dontrelle Willis or Miguel Tejada are zero. Not 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%. Zero. And this is coming from a guy who believes Jim Hendry was dropped on his head multiple times as a baby.

    I'm sure the Orioles would be interested. Pie, Marshall, Gallagher, and Cedeno for Tejada and Bedard. Done deal They can keep Tejada and I'd still do it.

    Putting together a package for Crawford is going to be difficult. Hill is too much. Gallagher/Marshall/Petrick/Murton/Cedeno/... in quantity is not going to be enough. They Rays are going to want someone with a reasonable chance to be a high-end difference-maker. I know he's been written off by a good portion of the board, but Samardzija might fit. Samardzija, Gallagher, Cedeno, and Petrick for Crawford?
