  1. Ryan Braun is up. That is a huge upgrade for the Brewers lineup.
  2. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20070521&content_id=1978695&vkey=news_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc Only the Cubs.
  3. Miller is back in the Cubs rotation??? Unreal. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20070521&content_id=1978695&vkey=news_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc
  4. Agreed. The Bears got the best TE in the draft, a playmaking DE with 26 sacks in the last 2 years, a All-American guard, and a speedy RB. If nothing else, Wolfe can make teams pay even when they kick away from Hester on kickoffs.
  5. This lady had a blood alcohol level higher than Rich Hill's ERA. Rich Hill is amazing. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2003672880_webalcohol19m.html?blowthis
  6. How about 10 years early? Everyone is available for the right price. I would not rule it out.
  7. Holy cow...good point. Z!! Theriot to 1st, Jones to RF, Marquis to LF.
  8. We need Marquis as a pinch hitter, not pinch runner.
  9. He's hardly the whipping boy. Actually, I always get the feeling of fighting the crowd when I advocate Floyd starting over him. It seems like you have more than a few on your side, and maybe there is a reason you are fighting a crowd. People here are ripping his average. His average was .300 at the start of the game. If your average can drop 70 points in 1 day, you have not had enough at bats base any decisions on. I miss the good old days when we could unite in our hatred of Macias, Neify, or BOOM BOOM Bynum.
  10. When did Murton become the whipping boy on this board? He is slumping, just like a ton of other guys on the offense. Soriano, Jones, Izturis, Cedeno, and Barrett have been almost as bad if not worse. I have not been around much latley, but this seems like the last place that would turn on Murton after 30 or so at bats.
  11. Aramis is back! I don't like the potential black hole of Cedeno, Blanco, Miller, Pie in order. Hopefully the middle of the lineup can have a big day and Pie gets off to a quick start.
  12. Today (w/o ARAM) I would do... Theriot - 2B Murton - RF Lee - 1B Floyd - LF Barrett - C DeRosa - 3B Pie - CF Izturis - SS Miller - P When Aramis and Soriano are back, I would do... Theriot - SS Murton - RF Lee - 1B Aramis - 3B Soriano - LF Barrett - C Pie - CF DeRosa - 2B Pitcher I wonder what a package of Izturis, Jones, and Miller could net us.
  13. if he pitched to contact without trying to k people, i bet he'd put up worse numbers That last batter was a good example. He worked it to a 3-2 count, by trying to hit those corners, instead of maybe throwing him a fastball when its 2-2, and getting him to bite. I don't know, a guy like sheets gets his K's, but he never walks people. I think he might have a better approach then Z. I'm in Milwaukee stuck watching FSN Wisconsin. They just quoted Sheets an inning ago, where Sheets says he tries to strike out every batter. He and Z have the same goalwith every at bat, Sheets just his his spots better.
  14. Just another reason to hate the crybaby cheater. I get the cheater refrence...but why is he a crybaby? When I was watching the Iowa vs. IU game last week he seemed to be whining excessively to the ref's. I know many coaches cry to the ref's, it just seemed excessive to me. Hence my new name for him the crybaby cheater. Ok, just curious. Nobody in the Big 10 matches Weber when it comes to whining on the sideline though. At least Weber isn't pulling for cancer. Sampson has sunk to a new low. I know you're just kidding, but I really wonder why Sampson wasn't wearing smeakers. He is one of the big guys in Coaches vs. Cancer. He wore dark colored sneakers. He doesn't like cancer. Sure, keep telling yourself that. Kelvin loves cancer. He loves being a cancer to the Illini's recruiting, does that count?

  16. Since Illinois won the first game, I'd call it a push. not by a long shot, the ej thing would overshadow 8 consecutive sweeps. oh well, i should be used to my teams getting beaten without retribution by now. Will it make you feel better when Sampson has IU on probation in a couple years? Why do you have to be such a sore loser? It was an ugly game on all sides, and IU pulled out a win. UI won one, IU won one, hopefully they will meet again in the BTT. Just because IU won you have to pull out this "well you'll be on probation" garbage with no evidence of any violations at IU. Man up. Yeah guys, Coach Sampson has been nothing but a stand up guy his whole career. What a farce. I'm not getting into this again with you, because you have already proved reading is not a skill you have, so I'll just say this and you can respond if you want. I never said he didn't do anything wrong. There is no evidence that he did anything at IU. He would lose millions of dollars if he did do something at IU. So crying "cheater" when he beats you, just makes you look like a sore loser.
