  1. I could make an educated guess based on his career production to date. What would you use to make your guess?
  2. OPS+ per season over first 4 years of career. Neifi 85 70 61 66 Cesar 52 61 88 68
  3. Park factors come into play here. Neifi has not been a more productive career hitter than Izturis. But it's sickeningly close. Career OPS+ Neifi: 65 Izturis: 69
  4. I enjoyed his mild spike of the ball in Dunn's direction afterwards.
  5. Widely believed by whom? Free agent class rankers on this side of the Pacific? I'll believe it when it happens. I suspect Godzilla's play washed out that bad taste long ago, and he'd fill a big need in NY. (Sorry to hijack this thread, Serena. I enjoy Cuban baseball, too. And I'd love to see the Cubs land Gourriel.)
  6. This is Lee's third season in Japan actually. He hit .240/.328/.450 in 2003 and .260/.315/.551 in 2004 for Bobby Valentine's Chiba Lotte Marines. Buyer beware. Likely? It could happen but Japanese teams have been very, very reluctant to post their superstars. Sasaki and Ichiro are it. I wouldn't count on it. And in the unlikely event it does happen, I can't see anyone outbidding the Yankees.
  7. Baseball is no longer an Olympic sport. Why would they be building a new baseball stadium?
  8. DLee, Barret and Jones all hustle like crazy out there, and I barely want to watch this team. Raisin hit the nail on the head. Actually, I agree whole-heartedly with Tim. The manager/management lets him get away with not hustling. As has already been said, Bobby Cox wouldn't let ARam get away with his lack of hustle. He'd call him out for it. Raisin's and Tim's comments aren't at odds with each other.
  9. Leave it to those two to each pick a stupid side to argue.
  10. The sheep, huh? Can you ever make a point without insulting someone. I don't think so anymore.
  11. I won't miss him on BBTT, but I will miss his commentary at the College World Series and Little League World Series.
  12. Fixed, Family friendly here ya know. Not 1950's family friendly, though. Hi Mrs. Cleaver! Can the Beaver come out to play? Hustle Rammy! Hustle!

  16. I did. Don't make things personal. I'll try my best to not make things personal seeing as I don't like when people make personal attacks at me. But in this case though, I feel that I just blatently said what everybody else was thinking and, in many cases, what some people implied with their responses to his posts. I don't really see much of a difference in the two ways of going about dealing with the issue at hand. I'm not going to debate your reason for doing so. I wish I'd stepped in sooner in this thread in hindsight, but I'm doing so now. It's done. Do not make things personal again. Please.
  17. I did. Don't make things personal.
  18. It's omnipresence? Wouldn't it be easier to ignore than to goad then? I think people are trying to show how wildly irrational it is rather than egging him on. That's not the way I read it. Not only does he make so many comments that are off base and blatently wrong, but he doesn't even back up his statements with any sort of a valid argument whatsoever. He also seems to bring up the White Sox in every single post he makes. And I'm not talking about this thread since it's obviously going to be AL Central centered but most other threads. It is very tiresome. Ignore him, then. Those song lyrics you posted certainly don't help.
  19. Meh, I fail to see how the actions of one Sox-hating Cubs fan makes us all look bad.

  22. Why is CubsBullsBears dislike for the White Sox so off-putting?
  23. He likes to keep the hot side hot and the cool side cool.
