  1. Make WGN television pay them a fair price for the broadcasting rights.
  2. I wonder if there's a correlation between the number of games attended at the park and dislike of this move. I've attended 35+ games a season since 2000 and I hate it. Some of the strongest proponents of the change in this thread live hundreds of miles away from the park.
  3. I don't believe in coaches that can only take a team so far. I think you are either a good coach or a bad coach. Skiles is a good coach. Wasn't Tony Dungy perceived as a coach who couldn't get his team "over the hump"? Yet he was the coach that brought home the Lombardi trophy to Indianapolis. Do you think if Skiles was the coach of the Bulls teams in the 90s that they wouldn't have won a Championship? I'm pretty sure they would have. My biggest problem with Skiles is that he isn't playing Tyrus Thomas enough. I think we will, however, see more of TT in the 2nd half and into the playoffs. I do think one good coach can be better than another good coach, but I agree with this sentiment for the most part. I'll always blame talent before I blame coaching. I'm all for the Bulls getting more talented. Just not convinced trading for Gasol or another star will accomplish that. Everything depends on the price.
  4. Pax has followed that plan so far. Pau's four years younger than Garnett, and their production's within shouting distance this season -- KG, 25.39 to Pau, 23.63. I adore the Big Ticket but I'm not sure I'd give up much more for him than I would for Gasol at this point.
  5. No surpirse there.
  6. Smith's PER is 15.84. A step down from both Gordon's 18.64 and Hinrich's 16.90. The Bulls could've ditched Thabo in favor of Smith, but the kid's got some issues Pax didn't want to deal with. I don't blame him. Brown's value is his expiring contract. When the Bulls resign Deng, Noch and Gordon, or swing a deal for Gasol, the value of that will be made clear.
  7. I wouldn't call a 15.37 PER flourishing. It's significantly better than his 12.23 PER last year, but Tyson produced a 16.47 PER for the Bulls during the 2004-5 season with Skiles as his coach the entire season. Chandler's a bit of a head case in my opinion.
  8. Chandler is doing well. Curry is scoring but is a huge creampuff who can't rebound or block shots. Curry's PER is 17.87 to Chandler's 15.37. Eddie's more than holding his own even if you factor in defense.
  9. The Bulls' schedule after the break gets a lot easier. Assuming a blockbuster trade doesn't happen, I think they'll go 18-10 over the last 28 games and finish the season 47-35. I was hoping for 50 wins, but I won't cry about that record. Should be a fun finish.
  10. Great win. First double-digit loss by the Suns in 51 games.
  11. Howard should dunk Robinson for the win.
  12. I can think of few other ways to inspire jealousy about being in Sacramento.
  13. It's a three-way tie for first between the Piston, Cavs and Bulls in the Central, and all three teams are a half game behind the Wizards for best record in the Eastern conference. Gordon's playing like an all-star lately.
  14. Hamstring injury
  15. He doesn't want to gut the team to do it. Give up too much to get KG and you turn the Bulls into the Timberwolves, for instance. I think the Bulls have an excellent shot at landing an impact big in this draft. The Knicks' pick is top 10 right now, I think they'll fall back a bit in the standings by season's end, and Greg Oden, Kevin Durant, Brandan Wright, Joakim Noah, Spencer Hawes, Julian Wright and Al Horford are all top 10 talents. Of course, and I'm a huge fan of his choices to date.
  16. Wouldn't the Bulls still have the cap space to facilitate a deal once PJ is off the books this offseason? If that wouldn't work, they could try to work our a sign and trade with Deng. I'm sure West would like to hang on to Deng long term if he's trading Gasol for him. That said, I think Paxson has other plans for PJ's expiring contract than making a trade. He's looking to hold on to Nocioni, Deng and Gordon long term. I'm suggesting they hold out until after the lottery because Oden and Durant will be superstars.
  17. This is shaping up to be a very talented and deep draft. A top 10 pick holds a lot of value, and a shot at Oden or Durant, however small, is difficult to pass up.
  18. The Bulls are as good as any team in the East right now and I like Deng's ceiling too much. I doubt Deng costs as much as Pau does when he signs an extension, too; and the Bulls do have a chance at a franchise player in this summer's draft. Hopefully, the Knicks start sucking more to increase that chance.
  19. I'm hanging on to Deng and Gordon if I'm Paxson. Still lots of assets West might want. I'd hold out and call his bluff. If it doesn't happen before the deadline, could happen during the off-season -- after you find out where the Knicks' pick falls.
  20. They're tied with the Cavs esentially for second place in the Central and are 1 game back of the Pistons for the best recond in the East. Given their recent history of finishing the season strong, I like where they stand.
  21. 11-point victory against the best or second best team in the NBA? That's a beautiful win.
  22. Just what I needed, another reason to travel to Italy.
  23. You need a DVR, my friend.
  24. 6:30 EST? What time are you going to bed these days? 9? :)
  25. Bulls ranked 5th overall in Hollinger's newly unveiled power rankings. He's included an explanation of the rankings and the actual formula he's using to rank the teams.
