  1. He looks better than two years ago; to the point where I have some hope he may be able to play the whole season without getting hurt again. Now, obviously, he'll never be the player he was and is likely only capable of being a spot-up shooter. That's something, at least. IU needs another shooter than can regularly make the three, and Creek may be able to fill that gap. He definitely has some value.
  2. Theo has openly admitted that his strategy will be to tank for several years so that he can obtain top picks in the draft. Presently, they are only going to obtain free agents that are either a) reclamation projects, b) generally undervalued, or c) can easily be flipped for prospects. My advice would be to pay more attention to the minor leagues, amateur draft, international FA, etc. for the next couple (at least) more years while Theo tries to build Rome.
  3. bryant doesn't provide a real test, but yogi looks good so far.
  4. Galettes is where all the greeks hangout and hotties plentiful. Houndstooth is the best sports bar and will packed on gameday. Those and many other bars are on 'the strip' on Univeristy Blvd close to the stadium. Innisfree is a decent irish pub a little farther down univ. blvd.
  5. Dreamland has branched out and has restaurants in many cities now, but the original in Tuscaloosa is a bit more rustic. The menu for the Dreamland in Tuscaloosa is much smaller than the other locations...just ribs, pulled pork, barbecue chicken, sides, and banana pudding. If you like a vinegar barbecue sauce, then you'll probably like Dreamland's. I've heard Epiphany Cafe is pretty good...bit more upscale. http://epiphanycafe.vpweb.com/Dinner-Menu.html. I haven't been to DePalma's, but it's probably the best italian you'll get in Tuscaloosa. It's been about ten years since i've been to bars in Tuscaloosa, so I'm not sure how things are these days. I'll ask a couple of buddies and get back to you. If you think the history of Bama football may be interesting, checkout the Paul Bryant museum. If you aren't interested in the history of other schools, it will probably just be nauseating.
  6. Why were the Davis and Hartman commitments accepted so early (almost two years ago)? Clearly, they haven't progressed as much as Crean thought they would. How likely is it that Vonleh chooses IU?
  7. we agree.
  8. lol at OleMiss posting something about Auburn in every college football thread. Hey man...I agree. We don't have a QB on the roster, nor a head coach with teeth or a chin. How does one evaluate the roster and not try to sign a JUCO QB stop gap after last season? The situation was seriously mismanaged. Most alumni are ready for he and Jay Jacobs to be shown the door. Congrats on your first SEC win in a long time last week.
  9. AU with 3 of the top 8 and currently lead for Montravius Adams which would give them 4 of the top 11.
  10. I feel your pain. 1, 2, 10, 23, and 25 for us. 1, 2, 6, 10, 14, plus A&M and Mississippi State for us.
  11. I'll get to watch the Smokies play Thursday night, and it looks like that will be McNutt's turn to pitch. Is Ha considered the best position prospect on this team?
  12. I feel like I should leave work, find a tv, and watch this game if an appearance today will be his last.
  13. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CHN199208060.shtml It was a 1992 night game against the New York Mets. Greg Maddux won, pitching a complete game (this was his Cubs Cy Young year). Sanderberg had a double and a triple. Grace went 0-5. Derrick May had a couple of RBIs. Eddie Murray had the only HR of the game. Sosa had one plate appearance, a walk, during his first year as a Cub.
  14. Auburn's signing day has been somewhat disappointing. we missed on Eddie Goldman, Ronald Darby, Kwon Alexander, Leonard Williams, Deon Bush. we're sitting at 11 on Rivals team rankings, but the quality of each commit is pretty high as we only have 18 signed so far. Stefon Diggs and Alex Kozan have yet to make a decision, and we made the top 2 for each of those guys..believe Florida gets Diggs and Iowa gets Kozan though.
  15. I've heard that usc's probationary status may also allow armond to play at an sec school right away..havent had time to research. Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk
  16. Did we really need the whole CV? I'm hearing that Dirk Koetter, offensive coordinator of the Jacksonville Jaguars, may be named AU's offensive coordinator later this week.
  17. MSU tripled his salary. That's a good reason to stay. The cost of being a competitive college program is going up. Auburn agrees. Brian Van Gorder became Auburn's defensive coordinator today. •2008-2011 -- Defensive Coordinator // Atlanta Falcons •2007 -- Linebackers // Atlanta Falcons •2006 -- Head Coach // Georgia Southern •2005 -- Linebackers // Jaguars •2001-2004 -- Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers // Georgia •2000 -- Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers // Central Michigan •1998-1999 -- Defensive Coordinator // Central Michigan •1997 -- Assistant Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator // Central Florida •1995-1996 -- Linebackers/Special Teams Coordinator // Central Florida •1992-1994 -- Head Coach // Wayne State •1989-1991 -- Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers // Grand Valley State
  18. Nice win for iu...feels great for the team to be relevant again.
  19. they aren't very good, but they've won the games they should have won and upset South Carolina.....all of their losses are to teams ranked 14th in the BCS and better.
  20. so did anyone mention that Tennessee had to find a last minute walk-on kicker, because the starter injured himself on Thursday and the backup pulled a muscle in warmups? The guy was loungin on his fraternity couch when he got the call and was rushed to the stadium....went 3-3 on PATs and made a 21 yard field goal. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/blog/dr_saturday/post/Tennessee-grabs-last-second-kicker-off-his-frat-?urn=ncaaf-wp9443&utm_source=bleacherreport.com&utm_medium=referral
  21. AU finally got their top receiver, Emory Blake, back from injury against Ole Miss. When one considers that they lost their top 4 WRs to graduation/draft after last season and lost their top 2 receivers this year to injury 4 weeks ago, they were having some serious depth issues there....those who were filling in have 'alligator arm' tendencies... Anyway, Blake caught some deep balls which stretched the field and opened up the running game. I'm feeling a bit better about the matchup against Georgia in two weeks.
  22. We went to the Saints game last night. They just have so many weapons with the three-headed monster at RB along with Graham, Colston, Meachem, Moore, and Henderson all being capable receivers.
  23. I'm hearing both of Auburn's top receivers may come back from injury to play against LSU this weekend. If Auburn can stretch the field with some completions downfield which would make room for the run, then they may be able to hang around for a while in this one. Given the QB situation, it's more likely that AU loses by 3 tds.
