    As offensive as the shirts are, I think banning any article of clothing that doesn't jeopardize the safety of patrons from Wrigley would be a terrible precedent to set.

    Lou is babying Rich. We have 12 guys in the pen, and Lieber and Marshall haven't done much recently, and Rich is a guy whose success is often related to his confidence. I'm not applauding the move but I certainly understand it. Yeah, while I don't totally like the move, it doesn't bother me at all. I don't really like Lieber in for only three batters though.

    Isn't Gammons known for being pretty bad when it comes to scooping trades? Also, there is no way Reed Johnson should be anything more than a platoon CF (vs LHP) for this team. The problem is that it appears that Coco Crisp doesn't hit righties that well either, so acquiring Crisp would really only be a lateral move. What would be ideal is for Pie to start hitting!

    I want the best friggin 8 or 9 hitters I can get, bottom line. I couldn't care less how they fit together in a lineup. You sacrifice production for perceived lineup "positions" and i'll take the productive players and pull their lineup positions out of a hat and we'll see who scores more runs.

    I really love his reasoning for why he thinks we won't win the division this year. Is his color man a moron? He sure sounds like one in that clip.

    Where are you getting your numbers? Per ESPN, I see: .283/.417 and an OPSA of .700 After I posted that this morning, I noticed that ESPN's gamelog didn't include last night. I wasn't sure if the stats were updated, as well. Ahh, after I posted that, thats what I kind of thought.

    There is currently a runner on first with no outs. Counsell at the plate though. At least he is Mr. Grit.

    This is about right. This is my biggest beef with Lou. And I don't know where KyleJRM came from, but he is quickly becoming one of my favorite posters.
