  1. i guess if i spent all off season hyping juan pierre, i'd do the best i could to make everyone forget it by making every one of my posts about rich hill too. What the heck is this? You can't just respond to his argument?
  2. Hey, you give him a pitching coach with a clue and a team that scores enough (and by that I mean 3 or 4 runs) to take some of the pressure off of him and you never know what could happen.
  3. Call me a bigot, but..... FIRE FREAKIN' DUSTY!
  4. If Dusty loves AJ so much, he should ask to coach 1st next season on the Southside. I can't believe he backs Jones and Neifi but not his catcher.
  5. AJ: Your fighting style is perfect for Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling :club:
  6. I am sure that Jim and Andy (sounds like a bad comic strip, no?) will react in a very positive and proactive way: They'll call the Sun Times Sports section editor and chew his behind.
  7. Just a thought - Yes, this guy clearly stinks. But could this mean JH is planning to deal Pierre at the deadline and needs a stop gap for this lost season?
  8. Why would you want to trade Murton - inexpensive, already a good hitter and going to get better - for an aging and expensive LFer who is on the downside of his career? Unless you are advocating getting Floyd to replace Murton in LF if we traded him for a Dunn-like player?
  9. I thought we had bad luck in 03', maybe in 04'. Now I think we stink on the field and off.
  10. If it means getting rid of Jones and other bums, I'd take an extra 2B or two.
  11. Why are we continuing to waste Tim's bandwith ripping Pujols? Our team is horrible and we still hate the Cards, and they hate us. Nuff said.
  12. After the Neifi game yesterday, I won't be devoting serious t.v. time to these guys for a while.
  13. Message to Jim and Andy: http://images.art.com/images/-/Dilbert---Just-Shut-Up-Poster-C10114871.jpeg
  14. Your second sentence is a bit much, but your first one is spot on.
  15. I heard it on the radio, and then had to check the internet to be certain I wasn't losing my mind. Its just so unreal. Fire Neifi and Dusty now please.
  16. Or he is trying to bury Dusty, a la Angelo with Dick Jauron a few years ago.
  17. Help on above please. EDIT Nevemind - thanks!
  18. Can someone sum it up for me here? I just got back to my office. How did Woody look? Thanks.
  19. Sans Prior, Lee and ARam (assuming all are healthy, of course), Marshall might be our most tradeable commodity right now. His value may also be at an all-time high. We might be able to pull off a heist if we find the right trading partner. Who is desperate for pitching outside of the NL Central?
  20. For one year instead of three. Nevermind, you don't want to hear it. For the 8 millionth time, the chances of Jones being on the Cubs for 3 years are very slim. For the 8 millionth time, how do you know that? This isn't MVP Baseball where you can trade anyone you want. Who will want to pay a crappy player 4 million? So if Hendry does trade him, the Cubs will likely be paying Jones to play for another team. Just like another recent RFer. Interesting. Only at the time that RFer signed his deal, he was playing well enough for him to be worth it. True true. I was mainly referring to paying a RFer to play for another team. A bad habit recently.
  21. You can take the question mark off the title: Levine reporting on ESPN 1000 that Womack has been signed to a minor league deal. In other news, JH continues to pursue Jurrasic Conine. Again, if he intends to use him in RF against lefthanders, I like the deal.

  23. For one year instead of three. Nevermind, you don't want to hear it. For the 8 millionth time, the chances of Jones being on the Cubs for 3 years are very slim unless he continues hitting the way he has lately. I look for Jones to be traded as soon as Pie is ready to play in the majors everyday. To whom? Who is going to take him? The only way he has any value is if he continues to play as he has in the last two or three weeks, but then JH won't trade him. And isn't Pie a CFer who still has no plate discipline?
