    I'm taking that as a challenge. Murton and Pierre have both hit home runs in each of their last 23 at bats. It's true. The human head weighs 6 lbs. Someone lock this thing. Its full of personal attacks and other assorted nonsense that supposedly is outside the lines.

    Do you think Roy's the best player in the draft? I am not sure that he is, but I do think he is the most ready to help us now. I guess I am adverse to another project, and Thomas, while clearly gifted, is a project.

    Why is Marion available? I haven't heard anything of the sort. Most articles I have read (and I admit that I read them either in the TRib by Smith or on ESPN.com by guys like Ford and Bucher, but cannot find the links) say that the Suns will shop Marion now that they have re-upped Amari, largely b/c Marion is due for more money. We have plenty of chips to make a deal (if, of course, its true that he will be on the block).

    Again, please draft Roy, trade for Marion and sign The Pryz. Each is ready to provide help now and make major contributions, not to mention giving us two guys who can get their own shot, and a guy who will help Noc enforce in the paint.

    That's really the issue, IMO. He has spent much of teh last two years putting himself into horrible bargaining postures and making moves out of desperation.

    Me too. As I lay awake last night at 1:30 a.m., I thought about drafting Roy, trading for Shawn Marion and signing Pryzbilla. That would be quite a squad.

    I'd like to comend the Sox fans who cheered him before his first AB; it actually gave me the chills. Think what you will, he was one of three most dominant hitters of the 90's, and he's an HOFer w/out doubt.

    I was thinking something along the same lines. I saw this earlier today and had to rub my eyes. He got hurt a few eeks ago and his average suffered, they don't play him enough, and then they unceremoniously dump him in AA? I smell personality conflict with Robinson. Plus there is my main man Bowden...

    What about Prior? He's not even recovering from surgery, half the people don't know why hes injured, and he hasn't even pitched this year yet. Mark Prior must be joining Dick Cheney in those undisclosed bunker locations. Its really ridiculous. At this point he probably won't play before Lee does.

    No they need an old man to bench their assess when the get doubled off of second two times in three weeks. right, that would've helped the team. It's not like Jones has been the best hitter this week or anything They are losing anyway, and Jones isn't likely to keep this up. Might wake up the team if you bench the guy and send a message that this sort of nonsense will not be tolerated. See also Guillen's comments in todays Trib re Big Frank.

    What do any of us with few excpetions know about what its like to be an MLBer? What difference does it make? And why are we trying to surpress opinions here? Since when do we tell each other to "shut up"? Hill should have just let it go and concentrate harder on what he is doing wrong that is leading to him getting lit up. That said, if they sent him down b/c of his comments, that's dumb. Let him pitch and figure it out.

    That's the whole thing - if we were beating them on the scoreboard as badly as Mike beat AJ's face, I might feel better about the whole thing. As it stands, its a metaphor for a team that has reached its end, and worse, the manager tossed his own guy under the bus. From top to bottom, we are as bad an org. as there is in baseball.

    What are they gonna do, set up a fight in the alley after today's game? AJ does nothing after getting clocked, but then he calls out Barrett? What a jerk. I guess he wants to meet Barrett on WWE Wednesday Night Raw, whatever its called.

    You and Southside have identified it: I disliked the 04' team b/c they had greatness by the throat and lost their grip, largely b/c they were busy distracting themselves with the guys in the booth, which has to be the dumbest thing ever. This team is pathetic - its like a sad-eyed dog with one leg. I pity the team, and dislike the people who created it. Their arrogance and lack of foresight has caught up with them in a major way.

    I am curious: can anyone just respond to stuff they disagree with without referring to the arguments as "idiotic" and then mocking the person who posted it by saying stuff like "This thread is great. Keep posting stuff like this." I know that we are all exasperated by how bad they are playing, but seriously.
