  1. It's a groin injury, it's the Bears, I don't think it a stretch to assume he's done for the season. When, in the last 20 or so years have the Bears ever had a injured player successfully heal and come back in season? I'm sure it's happened, I think.
  2. I don't understand what the horsefeathers is going on, last year it was OL dropping like flies. This year it's any possibly remotely effective defensive player gone - Terrell Smith, Austin Booker, Jaylon Johnson and TJ Edwards - are all done for the season.
  3. And they had the advantage of playing a Bears defense that let WR's get open by 20+ yards. Even Caleb would have completed those easy TD throws.
  4. Yeah, this wasn't a case of Caleb being inaccurate, it was receivers dropping balls that hit them in the hands. It's more like 23-30, 270, 2/1.
  5. Odeyingbo was not the worst thing about the Bears defense today, he made penetration on several occasions almost getting to Goff while being held.
  6. Does the Bears' DC know what a blitz is, nothing, they're not even threatening to blitz.
  7. Him and Jaylon Johnson are so, so, done for the season, they're toast.
  8. As high as I was on Odunze he just drops too many balls.
  9. That was not a penalty, he got pushed into Hutchinson.
  10. Add TJ Edwards to the list of Bears defenders done for the season.
  11. I think it's safe to write him off for most, if not the rest of the season.
  12. True enough, and this is what literally bailed out the Vikings the whole horsefeathers game last week.
  13. Ditto for the Lions.
  14. Oh, I don't think they've much of chance to win this game. A good showing by offense, Caleb not looking like garbage for long stretches should be enough to signal they're headed in the right direction.
  15. Well, for me, here I'm again with the same nonsense - don't care about the defense or outcome of the game just want to see marked improvement from the QB and the offense. This has been theme for at least 8 seasons and it's getting really tiresome. I wanted Mitch and Justin to succeed but, they've mental hurdles they'll never overcome, I really hope it's not same story with Caleb. I believe in Caleb and I do not believe he has the mental limitations of Mitch and Justin. I figure he's got 6-7 games to clear up mistakes and start producing, don't think Ben will go the whole season watching the same mistakes. He'll bench Caleb and turn to Tyson.
  16. I'd been okay if it was actual ML'er beating the Cubs - Diaz, Caminero - it's even more awful when it's someone like Fortes with the big blow.
  17. Would have been nice to win today, tick another number of that playoff clinching number. Think they'll win tomorrow.
  18. That dog-horsefeathers of a baseball player has 5 HR's all this season, 2 of them off the Cubs.
  19. Cubs sure do find goofy ass ways to lose on some Saturdays, giving up a another horsefeathers HR to Fortes is certainly in line.
  20. Really don't understand how truly awful hitters like Fortes get, seemingly, hit after hit against the Cubs. Rest of league has no problems with that clown why can't the Cubs handle him?
  21. Maybe it's better to say the results have been awful at Wrigley Field.
  22. Don't think Seiya out of the line up is a difference maker in fact, it may do more good than harm. Looked at his home/road splits and, it's not pretty, he's been terrible at Wrigley Field this year.
  23. Yep, sometimes I call the baseball post season the tournament because, much like the NCAA tournament, anything can and usually does happen.
  24. It's certainly true the Cubs have enough talent to beat anyone. I hope you're correct about the end of the slumping bats, it'd make the post season a heck of a lot more fun if Busch, Tucker, PCA and company got going.
  25. You'll agree the big Cubs bat's have been in a deep funk for a while, yes? We've seen a plethora of games where truly awful pitching dominates them. I have not looked, it might be the same story with the Padres. Nevertheless, because of the Cubs slumping bats, with no end in site, is why I do not believe they've much of a chance to advance.
