  1. They way the Mets lost, the inability to get the likes of Wagaman, Navarreto and Sanoja out is just excruciating. Glad their fan base gets a taste of some Cubs like misery.
  2. They need Wright and Loveland back, offensively, I'm confident they're going to keep improving. They'll hang with all those teams on offense. Defense? Don't know, Gordon and Edwards coming back would help.
  3. WTF was up with Kmet? Multiple drops and how many horsefeathers false starts?
  4. Was just thinking along the same lines. Don't know if you saw it but, officials ruled a "fumble" on Feagin when he was clearly on the ground with the ball. Dumb ass officials didn't blow the play dead, just let USC dig and rip out the ball while he was on the ground. Anyway, my point is that would have so on brand for the Illini to lose that game.
  5. Yes, my mistake 62-69 since April, duh. Was just happy as hell and forgot how to add.
  6. Wright is the big one, people have been down on him, his absence had a big effect on the line today. Wright plays and it's a different story, Bears would have won handily.
  7. Time and time again the Bears have been on the other side of that equation. Nice to be on the flip side.
  8. ****** as hell, revamped OL playing poorly and Caleb helped pull it out. We've never seen this from a Bears QB like ever, well, not since maybe, Cutler.
  9. Birdsell and possibly, Wiggins, might be in the mix as well.
  10. Tigers 34-43 since the end of June and they're in.
  11. Starting pitching, at the deadline they were in the same position as the Cubs. Hurting for starters and everyone knew it, I'll bet teams were asking for the world of them for rentals, etc. Just as I'm certain they did of the Cubs.
  12. Wicks has looked very good, don't know if it materialize in anything.
  13. And the Mets are out!!! 21-10 after April, 62-79 the rest of the way, that's past Cubs' team like. Say what you will about our Cubs but, they had just one losing month this season - March 3-4. Which I look at as 3-2, don't count the Dodgers horsefeathers in Japan.
  14. When you think about the injuries, their best hitters checking out for nearly 3 months and the Cubs still finished, at most, only 5 games behind the Brewers. A Brewers team that went nuclear for a month, makes me question just how much better or superior the Brewers are to the Cubs. Hope they can find a way to get past SD in the WC.
  15. Justin Field like numbers from the Bears. thought we were done with this kind of horsefeathers.
  16. Defensively, they'll stuff IU, Mendoza will crumble under PSU' pass rush. Question is will PSU be able to do more than run the ball?
  17. Just saw the replay and holy horsefeathers did the officials completely miss on Feagin' "fumble". Not even close to being a fumble, he's clearly down with the ball. Typical ball carrier down with the ball gets it ripped out after the play and defense acts like it's fumble. Guess it sometimes works with a dumb ass crew.
  18. Think it's fantastic the Astros are out, most especially after all the BS that was posted here about Cam Smith' greatness. Would really love to see the Mets not make the post season as well.
  19. I think that as well, they're starting to play well. Really don't think the Reds or Mets are going to offer much resistance in the WC.
  20. Thought PSU played really well in coming back, they looked dead in the mud after Oregon went up 17-3. Looked as Allar may have had it up sidelines just an inexplicably bad pass.
  21. Glad the Cubs put any chance of SD hosting the WC to bed, very, very nice.
  22. Indiana is the better team but, like you said, the Illini had an incredible number of things go wrong. They lost a horsefeathers ton of their starting defense to injury including nearly every DB on their roster.
  23. Might have been different had the Iowa QB not gotten hurt. I'm fairly confident they're going to get blown out in Eugene next week.
