  1. I agree 100%, Cutler and it's not even close, Orton success is due to those many other factors previously mentioned. I have noticed he's making some fantastic throws, threading the needle, just fractions from being intercepted. I don't know if his accuracy has improved that much or he's been a little lucky.
  2. Who knows maybe the Bears will get another shot at them down the line, they'll go into the game with their chests all puffed out and the Bears will kick the [expletive] of them.
  3. Just like the GB loss, you could say OK they were better but, the Bears beat themselves all night, dumb plays, mental mistakes. Nothing special about Falcons Chris and Michael, NO going to lay 40+ their asses. Hell, if the Bears could have gotten out of their own way, they'd had 24 or so.
  4. They're both on the ground Jenkins pulls it out and it's a fumble?
  5. Yet the Bears have gone with what five or six pinky tackles tonight?
  6. I'm done with Forte tonight.
  7. Olsen should have quite that ball.
  8. At least he's not running backwards which he did quite often last season.
  9. Atlanta can't cover Knox they'll probably make adjustments so, maybe Bennett or Olsen will come up big.
  10. All Bears on that, Falcons did nothing special Bears just choose not to cover anyone.
  11. Steltz was pushed in the back.
  12. The Bears should still win I've seen nothing from Atlanta that tells me they're better.
  13. Looks to me that if Cutler would quite throwing to wrong guys the Bears would be up at least 14-0.
  14. I have to admit, with Carpernter an Wainwright as the 1-2 and Pujols/Holliday/Ludwick in middle, I thought they had a great chance to do some serious damage in the postseason. I also think they will be a lesser team at the start of 2010. Holliday and DeRo will leave, and Franklin won't repeat his 2009 performance. It's a given Franklin won't repeat his 2009 performance but, I'm not certain about Holliday. He seem's like the perfect hick, Cardinal written all over him, maybe Boras being his agent will be the mitigating factor.
  15. Fantastic!!!! I thought their bullpen would be the weak spot but, it never really got to that point. I was not as impressed with the Cardinals as many experts were, they had that incredible August but, were pretty ordinary outside of August.
  16. Brillant Zook, try 51 yard fg instead of going for it when your down 17 with less than four minutes remaining.
  17. Keep throwing the hr ball Illini, MSU' interferred on every attempt eventually they'll get called for it.
  18. The human element will remain with strike-ball and safe-out calls but, when it comes to plays such as last night. There's no human element involved the ball' either fair or foul.
  19. Look at Jason Ford as good or better than anyone MSU but, they still down 24-7.
  20. I lived through the Jim Valek era, and sadly this team appears to be even worse. I guess the only good point is Zook is a good as gone and the next coach is going to have a wealth of talent for next season. Who are they going to target? I don't know and hey, they intercetpted a pass!!!!

  22. Plus, with the way Zook recruits, there shouldn't be too many better teams to begin with. One can say their perfomance is proof that his recriuts are overrated but, all of them? I don't think so.
  23. Early on the Illini getting creamed again, I gotta believe Zook' out after this season. Sure, the Illini have lost to some better teams but, a good portion of their futility is their own doing. Lack of execution, motivation that all lies on Zook and Company.
  24. 1-11 over the last three years. That dawned upon this morning
  25. Not that I mind the Cards losing but, what does that make the Central over the last two years 1-8? Ouch.
