  1. huh? In consecutive games Seabrook and Campbell have gone down as a result of questionable hits - I was suggesting it's more than a coincidence perhaps, teams looking to injury a Hawk player. I know it's not true but, it's really starting to piss me off.
  2. Most likely the Chicago Sports paranoia coming out but, this taking a Hawk player out of the game with an injury is becoming way too "coincidental".
  3. Boy, I sure missed the boat on the coach reference who's very good at coaching but, poor at recruiting, etc. Although, if one checks out Illini Scout and sometimes here, the situation did somewhat describe Weber at U of I. Why would Turner stay? Despite what he said about loving OSU, he's, at the very least, the no. 2 pick (behind Wall), maybe no. 1 on plenty of teams draft boards. By the way, why is that U of I, while quite probably being clean, is on the NCAA' watch dog list, yet programs that cheat their collective b*lls off are not? Say programs like Kentucky, OSU (football)...
  4. If you're referring to Weber, I don't hold this view, with the talent he's going to have on hand next season, I firmly believe the Illini will be a top 16 seed. I do also believe he hasn't excuses should they miss the tournament again along with getting beat by the likes of Utah, Bradley and Georgia.
  5. The Illini didn't get in, I can live with that however, the NIT still presents an opportunity. If I were Bruce I'd look upon this chance to set up next season by looking at a lineup of Davis, Tisdale, Paul, Richardson and McCamey with Griffey being the first off the bench.
  6. The after -effects of the Gordon fiasco are over with the arrival of Richmond, Head and Leonard, couple that with the return of every significant player from this year' team and Weber has no excuses. No reason at all for the Illini not to be a top 10 team and a FF contender next season.
  7. That may true but, Turner is gone after they flame out in the tournament, as good as the OSU starting 5 is, it's still all about Turner. The Illini having everyone back next year plus that recruiting class, I'd say there's a real good chance they'll be better than OSU.
  8. I know this offers little comfort but, OSU is going down in NCAA flames. You can just sense it, they're getting every break, every half-assed, goofed up crap of shot is going in, that has a way turning around.
  9. Absolultely loved the play where Tisdale brings the ball down and get stripped by a 6+ plus guard and then commits a foul. To be fair though he was hacked on that strip but, still, idoit, your a seven footer don't bring the ball down until the traffic clears!!!!
  10. The Illini tried real hard to blow it fortunately for them and us Illini fans, the clock ran out. Also, Bill Cole is a turn over machine idoit of a basketball player.
  11. You're probably correct, it's more my frustration with the under performing Illini, e.g., Davis with his laid back 15-17 footers makes it easy on the opponent. If he ever got the mind to take it to the hoop and play with some fire he could make it very tough on opponents.
  12. Here we are again, the Illini vs. the Badgers, I really believe with a balls to walls effort the Illini can kick the [expletive] out the Badgers. Probably won't get that kind of a game from the Illini, we'll get the usual come out with little to no effort, get down big then, decide to play, etc.
  13. Sharpie!!! Made a smooth move, Quick didn't have a chance!!!!
  14. Why the hell can't we get this clown out? Spring training, regular season, doesn't matter, the guy' crap on stick.
  15. that sounds about right except mccamey IS a good basketball player. when he wants to be He did average 15 and 7. Not too many Illini point guards put up numbers better than that. Plus he did it while having to have a ton of pressure on him. I.E. when he plays great we are pretty good, when he plays average we suck. I thought he had a hell of a year. I think B&B we looking from the perspective of consistency, they've both shown flashes here and there and have the ability to be good players. But, for whatever reasons, one of them being something missing between the ears, haven't put it all together.
  16. I think B&B called it correctly last yesterday - Weber is a good coach, McCamey and Davis are a couple of knuckle heads who aren't good basketball players.
  17. My biggest fear is the Bulls are going to end up with Carlos Boozer or someone else of that ilk, no Wade, Bosh, etc.
  18. I gotta think Jereme' starting, I don't believe Weber is the Dusty Baker of college basketball. I do believe he values hustle and defense, these are the primary reasons we see too much of Cole and Jordan.
  19. I believe the Illini can beat Wisconsin on a nuetral court, it's up to them, if they come to play, I don't think the Badgers can stay with them. It's not Weber' fault Mike Davis has been the invisible all season, ultimately, it's up to player, same goes for the rest of team. That being said, I don't think they'll beat Wisconsin in the Big Ten Tournament, they haven't played with a sense of urgency all season why start now? Despite whatever went on with McCamey today, I believe it would be a foolish move for him to declare early. He won't be a high enough pick to justify the move, he'll be better served playing his senior year.
  20. I think that outome of today' Illinois-Wisconsin game is largely, if not entirely dependent on how or which Illini play or show up. If the agressive, max effort Illini show up they'll win perhaps, easily so.
  21. I have complete faith Silva will continue suck, as for Cub management recognizing how badly he sucks not so sure.
  22. Versteeg got it back but, it's got to be demoralizing to know your goalie is very likely to give up the soft goal.
  23. From my prospective this is the least excited I've been for a new season in a long time. I'm thinking playoff hockey in April rather than the start of the Cub' season.
  24. Lunardi still has us in??? I think we're in provided we beat Wisconsin on Sunday, too many quality wins not to get in plus, if past precedent means anything, I can recall an 18-13 or so, Arizona getting in last year.
  25. Pray McCamey comes back, otherwise we are going to see WAY too much JJ. I believe he'll come back it'll only improve his draft position. If he doesn't, I don't know if we'll necessarily see way too much of JJ. Weber values defense, if Paul improves or say, Richmond or Head play good D they'll get the minutes over JJ.
