  1. TB's uniforms weren't bad either
  2. Was a good game, really like how MSU looks hopefully, they'll have a better tournament than last year. Your Lions are pretty good as well.
  3. Think the Big Ten' strategy vs. Wagler now is hack and grab, Washington did it, Nebraska certainly took that approach today. He shot 12 FT's today, should have been closer to 20, ended up with 28 pts, 5 helpers.
  4. I wonder if the regression monster is coming for Nebraska. They're a very good team, just don't think there top 10, final four type good.
  5. As the Australians* say, well horsefeathers me dead, the Illini dominated the boards and beat Nebraska! Hell yeah!!! *Couldn't find the tennis thread, was one of the nuts that got up at 4:00 to watch the men's final live and was pleased Alcarez won. There were some excellent rallies and shot making, think the grueling semifinal vs. Sinner caught up to DJokovic. After the initial push in the first set, his legs were finished.
  6. PTSD from 1984, start of the 1985 season and of course, 2003.
  7. It's probably the Cubs fan in me, waiting for the bottom to drop out, something else to go wrong, maybe, they're genuinely good and things won't blow up. Don't like their chances today, we'll see what happens.
  8. Morez-Johnson most definitely, Fears? Think I'm okay with Wagler.
  9. UMFan hope your Wolverines win tonight. Lost all respect for Izzo when he sent his goon out to punch Ayo in the face.
  10. Did Aaron Rodgers and Phillip Rivers turn down invitations? Or, are they already on the AFC roster?
  11. Steinbach as well, he's taller and a better athlete, don't what he's doing at Washington. They're not going to make the tournament and Steinbach is one and done. Guessing he has a sweet NIL deal.
  12. The Huskies tried the physicality approach with Wagler and others, lots of bumping, hand checking, grabbing and pushing. It's the approach MSU is going to take, except MSU is far more capable offensively than Washington. Physicality may work on Wagler but, the Serbians, Mirkovic and the Ivisics, have experience with prison ball, they'll take it and give it back, I like that.
  13. I know, it's easy to say "only my teams". I hope they play well tonight, would really like to see them go to Lincoln with a chance to tie for a share of the Big Ten lead.
  14. An Underwood special - playing poorly, inexplicable mistakes, losing to a good, not great team - the exception being it was Purdue. As I watched the game unfold I could not believe my eyes, I've seen that kind of garbage from the Illini, never from Purdue. Smith was brilliant against the Illini, Kaufman-Renn was very good as well, their performances in Bloomington were a complete 180. Don't expect that kind of inconsistency from Matt Painter and Purdue. I'm worried about tonight, Washington is good, not great, team, there's a big game Sunday. It's a perfect trap game, a perfect setting for an inconsistent performance from the Illini.
  15. I'm thinking he'll want to invest a pick for a RB, don't know who the nearest approximation to Gibbs would be this year. Guess, Love, but, he'll be long gone by the time the Bears consider drafting a back.
  16. Is Etienne a lateral move from Swift? If so, is he a cheaper lateral move?
  17. No doubt about it, he was and is very good. Also have to acknowledge the Patriots path to the SB was, comparatively, the easiest, that's got to play some part.
  18. Don't think NE has much of chance so, maybe, Caleb will win a SB first. Granted, anything can happen but, this time around, the Patriots don't get the benefit of playing teams featuring crap play from the QB nor, will the teams have to deal with the weather.
  19. Chaps my ass that horsefeathers Drake Maye made it to the Super Bowl before Caleb.
  20. We all know football can be completely random but, there's no reason the Patriots have the much of chance. Would have much rather seen a Bills-Seahawks SB.
  21. Rams, like the Bears because of their porous defense, forced to go for it instead of taking the points. Former Illini comes up big for the Seahawks, love it.
  22. And the Seahawks literally give 7 points back by being stupid. Think the Seahawks will score again, nevertheless, there was no need for such foolishness.
  23. I'll give you this Braden Smith is a once in a lifetime PG. He's really good. And I'm really glad the Illini never have to worry about him again, at least, in the regular season. Another thing, surprised me that Illinois' Mirkovic appeared taller than Kaufman-Renn, they're both listed at 6-9, maybe, it was the orange uniforms.
  24. Right now this Rams defense isn't much better than the Bears, they can get to the QB a little more. Overall, it's terrible.
  25. Watching Illinois-Purdue on DVR and, holy horsefeathers, the Illini are tall, for the most part, they towered over Purdue. Braden Smith is tiny out there against the Illini. I know the Illini are the tallest team in the Big Ten however, the contrast may have looked greater due to those orange uniforms. Smith performance is a testament to just how good he is, has a real good chance at the next level playing amongst the giants in the NBA. How about the Bulls drafting him in the 2nd round?
