  1. While their defense is legitimate, I feel Darnold' play is unsustainable, there's a reason he's a journey-man QB. It'll be interesting to see how Caleb handles their blitzes, I suspect some will succeed but, some won't, and Caleb will burn them. No more deer in the headlights against the blitz QBing for the Vikings to exploit.
  2. Guess I skipped ahead, Lions - Vikings is a week 7 match up.
  3. No NFL week 6 thread so I'll talk about Lions - Vikings here, wouldn't surprise me if the Lions blow the doors off the Vikings next week. Watched the highlights of Jets - Vikings, that game was definitely more of Aaron Rodgers being bad than is was the Vikings being good. Darnold is going to regress and Jets game may have been the start - 14-31-179-0TD-1INT, rating of 50.3.
  4. Heck yeah, right now, he's better than Jalen Carter and it's not close. Before the trade for Sweat last season, when he played, Dexter was drawing double teams, I thought that was a good sign of his potential.
  5. I'll give Poles credit for recognizing Young would have problems, if I recall, he did his due diligence with scouting, etc. However, there was never a chance the Bears were going to trade Fields and draft Young.
  6. Vilma was falling all over himself about Bryce Young eventually being good. Don't know about that point. I understand NFL linemen are monsters and all, Young still looks tiny out there, even smaller than Kyler Murray. Murray, at least, appears strong and thick. Young may have all the other tools however, he's never going to overcome the physical barrier.
  7. Yes, was glad to see him get up and, the flag, still don't understand why the NFL has let Fields be the recipient of so many flag-free cheap shots.
  8. But, but, but the coaching, granted the Caleb and the Bears took advantage of a banged up defense. Fields is facing a far lesser version of the Cowboys defense and has done nothing.
  9. I was thinking more towards the last quarter of the season, so week 15 would certainly qualify.
  10. I believe the issues above will soon disappear, I've seen hot takes regarding the superiority of the Loins, Vikings and Packers. We'll here's one for the Bears - in time, Caleb will be the best QB in the NFC North.
  11. Think there’s a better than average chance the Mets may be up 2 games headed to NY.
  12. Phillies - Mets should be more competitive than Phillies - Brewers would have been. Despite the randomness of baseball, I just don't see how the Brewers would have had a chance with the likes of Meyers, Rea and Civale against the Phillies lineup. Dodgers - Padres should be good as well, picking the Padres, they have a big edge in pitching.
  13. Nice play by Lindor to end the game, shocking, thought the Mets were done. Pretty sweet it happened to the Brewers though.
  14. Giving up HR’s to Chourio is one thing, giving HR’s to a scrub and mediocre player is another thing. Embarrassing for the Mets.
  15. I really do love Chourio making a good catch, all huffing and puffing about good he is, then, playing a fairly catch able line drive into double which helped to ignite a 5-run inning sealing the Brewers fate. Today the Brewers, in an elimination game, are going with Frankie Montas/bullpen. Given how hot Lindor has been, along with a few other Mets, I'd say there's a good chance the Brewers are done after tonight. Then again, when it comes to pitching, the Brewers have had a horseshoe up their asses all season, so, it wouldn't surprise me if Montas is effective and the Brewers win.
  16. Regarding Wright I know many were looking at taking Carter, well, thus far, Dexter >> Carter. Think we're starting see Dexter scratching the surface of his capabilities.
  17. He played fairly well last season, unless there's a injury involved, I'm not getting how his play went from competent to garbage.
  18. The above with Mitch, guess that's Clinton-Dix on his left in the end zone, I remember some Packer fans saying Clinton-Dix picks it off if Mitch throws that pass. I don't know what cheese they were sniffing because, unless Clinton-Dix is Quick Silver, there's no way he comes close if Mitch rips a fastball to Burton.
  19. Exactly, don't think it'll work, though, to some extent it worked for the Brewers and Guardians.
  20. I remember Moore getting a little dinged up, believe it was before the TD pass, could be he was playing through some pain.
  21. Yes and I think they'd rather face the Peralta, Meyers, Rea or Chivale than Cease, King and Darvish.
  22. Now that they're in, I doubt the Mets are going to put forth much of an effort vs. Sale.
  23. Once, while Mutombo was doing the finger wag, didn't Scottie Pippen bounce the ball off his back and score? Still, RIP Dikembe Mutombo.
  24. Don't know if it was previously posted nevertheless, may we see the non-Soto version? Thank you. I don't think it realistic to even dream of the Cubs pursuing Soto, I believe he's going to stay in NY or, after the Dodgers don't win the WS, sign with LA with creative financing or, whatever, horsefeathers they do, deferring until 23rd century.
  25. Williams was 8-9 with a TD vs. the blitz, a step in the right direction.
