  1. Not a surprise, fix was in from the start, I know other teams had to make an effort to keep the doors open for the future. Still, you makes you wonder if some of them thought it was a worthless exercise.
  2. That's a possibility, could also be a known cheater - Brady - has eyes set on our target. We better come up with more options.
  3. Eberflus was fired in November, they've had plenty of time to zero in on their HC. If this true and, it might be, we're doomed as Bears fans. There isn't a reason to give the Bears the benefit of the doubt other than thinking no one in Poles position could be that inept.
  4. Maybe a wrong call on my part however, I suspect the Bears know and have known who they'd like for HC. NFL rules being what they are have kept them from offering and securing their target. In the mean time all the interviews and such? Well, WTF else are they going to do? I don't think it hurts in the least to network and get varied opinions of their organization. Who knows, they might be enjoying the Chicago media with their heads on fire going nuts over nothing. I also believe McCarthy being unexpectedly available has added a contingency plan.
  5. Thanks, this goes a long towards displaying that BP has a good deal of subjective-ness built into the rankings. Had the trade been the other way I'm almost certain Hope and Ferris, as Cubs' prospects. Would not have been given the benefit of the doubt in same manner. It's the Dodgers so they must be good.
  6. Was thinking about day 2/3 RB's I like Johnson Iowa, Judkins Ohio State or Skattebo Arizona State, one of them will probably be available.
  7. I guess it's tools and projection, numbers aren't eye popping. Maybe, it because, it's the Dodgers?
  8. I agree, I should have clarified, didn't mean Jeanty to be used only between the tackles, meant he's capable whereas, that's not a part of Swift' game. Nevertheless, it's a RB rich draft, they'll be someone to draft on day 2 or day 3, primary focus must be the lines.
  9. Despite my preference for offense, I agree, if Carter or Graham are there at 10, I'd take them. Then go OL, OL, OL/RB/WR with the remaining 3 picks.
  10. Provided they go OL, OL and DL with their remaining picks in the top 100, Jeanty would be okay. He'd give the Bears some who could run between the tackles to contrast with Swift. Not altogether the worst possible choice, they could do far worse.
  11. I don't believe he'll be available at 10, most have him gone within the top 9. So Poles won't have chance to pass on him for someone coming off an injury.
  12. Exactly. Maybe Simmons will be okay for another team. The Bears have had terrible luck drafting guys with injury histories best just to stay away.
  13. Hard pass, underwent season ending knee surgery in October, no more draftees with major injury histories. Replace Simmons with Banks Jr. Texas.
  14. Illini bounced back in a big way 94-69 at Indiana, KJ was good as was Ivisic. Don't get Indiana, think they should be better, maybe, it's their back court, coaching, both?
  15. He definitely raises the floor, Caleb and the offense will improve quite a bit. He's probably a better choice than most of the other candidates beyond Johnson.
  16. No doubt about this, most especially Daniels, he's good, however, he's got a large helping of pixie dust.
  17. Don't know why the facade/charade of interest in other teams was necessary. It was always going to be the Dodgers. I'm certain, once it's official, we'll learn of a handshake agreement being in place all the while.
  18. Commanders-Lions possible shoot out? I'm certain the Commanders won't be able to stop the Lions, will the Lions manage a few stops of the Commanders?
  19. Again, refreshing to see, as I thought Bears' QB's, well, specifically, Justin Fields, had the market cornered on that look.
  20. I was rooting hard for 10 sacks, warms my heart to know other OB's and OL's are capable of Bears level incompetence. What's more is it was vs. not exactly the most fearsome defense in the NFL, throw in the Vikings being coach by the young brilliant flawless Kevin O'Connell. Just hilarious.
  21. Thought there was a decent chance the Rams would win but, didn't see this coming.
  22. From McCarthy' Wikipedia entry - "McCarthy is a culinary enthusiast and has a history of supporting local restaurants and chefs throughout his coaching career." - would have never guessed this of him.
  23. Well, if this isn't the kiss of death, just kidding. The Bears could actually do far worse, unfortunately this is where are raising the floor.
  24. It's the QB, I would think he'd prefer the Bears. Despite it being the Bears, they still offer a better chance to hit the ground running than the Raiders. Even if, somehow, the Raiders manage to trade up into the top 2 of draft to get a shot at Sanders or Ward. The Bears are still the better option.
  25. When have rules stopped Brady? If he wants to contact Johnson prior to an official interview he'll find a way.
