  1. It's undeniable the Bears, as Tom tells Michael about Roth - "...Roth (Bears) played this one perfectly..." - if possible, wrap your mind around that concept.
  2. All those idiots at the Score, look even more so like idiots, the constant whining about "no direction, an over correction, etc." Poles just made you out to be fools. One of the rare times in Bears history they one-upped the Chicago media.
  3. Play calling/coach and the OL, they've taken care of the first, the second must be addressed. While Lions have a better RB room, I believe if you switched out the rest of skill players, the results would have been the same. It's not in the skill positions, it's the OL, that's the gap. Bears don't have to close the gap completely but, they have to make it smaller.
  4. I really like, for once, the Bears were decisive and moved quickly, hiring the top target. This move helps to make Poles not look so wishy-washy and soft. Now, there's the roster, which he still may horsefeathers up, but, this hiring, the money and speed at which it was accomplished suggests it may be a different Poles.
  5. Draft’s pretty deep at RB no reason to draft one in the first round. Go OL or if Carter is there at 10, go DL in the first.
  6. The whole interviewing numerous candidates, inquiring about trading for a coach was a smokescreen. Well, some of the networking was probably intentional, I believe they knew who they wanted the moment Eberflus was fired. I also believe Poles wanted to fire Eberflus but was forced to keep him on.
  7. I’ve no doubt they’ll draft a RB on day 2.
  8. They should let Allen walk, wouldn’t surprise me if Tyler Scott suddenly emerges.
  9. I was thinking along the same lines, hiring Johnson was clearly the correct move. All the other horsefeathers was just networking, etc. and maybe digging at the media.
  10. Appears the Bears and Poles knew who they wanted all along, all this hand-wringing and screaming about too many interviews, no direction, etc. was just useless melodrama. Who's the fool now? Guess now we'll also see if Dan Campbell is truly a meathead with brains.
  11. To be paid over the next 100 years.
  12. Johnson picking the Bears or not, he's not the only avenue to success, McCarthy or Monken/Brady/Kingsburry will work as well. Just not Flores/Weaver or some other defensive dumbass, once again, Poles, it's not horsefeathers rocket surgery. Honestly, I'd be more than OK with McCarthy, I know he looks Jabba the Hut but, one can't deny the success he's in developing Rodgers and Prescott. He'd be good for Caleb.
  13. Frustrating, if he plays 30 or minutes Illinois wins, probably comfortably, we'll see what happens in Champaign. My guess, Izzo' histrionics won't be quite as effective, KJ will play more than 8 minutes and the Illini will probably win.
  14. What's more it finally be the end of all the fretting about the interviews and all that horsefeathers. If it's not Johnson, it'll be McCarthy or Monken, all would be good for Caleb.
  15. If he wants to win immediately I believe the Bears offer the best chance. I do think it matters after the money, etc. these guys want to win. And don't give me all that horsefeathers about the rest of the NFC North, Bears hire Johnson, Caleb improves, I'll take my chances.
  16. Don't worry the Dodgers will sign him next week. I'm honestly surprised they didn't sign Soto and trade for Tucker. WTF?
  17. I hope he did, horsefeathers the fines, they're a pittance to him. The fourth one, just completely ridiculous, KJ goes up gets the rebound, MSU doofus jumps into him, pushes KJ to the floor as they both go down. Somehow, magically, in front of the MSU, bench it's a foul on KJ.
  18. I think the Eagles will do what the Lions failed to do stick with the running game. Lions were running all over the Commanders with Gibbs there was no reason to stop.
  19. Illini lost a tough one today falling by 2 to MSU in East Lansing, didn't watch the game. Apparently foul trouble severely limited KJ, from reading the comments and seeing some highlights 2 of his 5 fouls were extraordinary questionable. Including one where KJ literally didn't touch the Spartan player. He was +7 when he played, I think it's pretty safe to say if he was allowed to play 30 minutes the Illini win, maybe even, win comfortably. Guess there was also an out of bounds initially called for the Illini, Izzo comes out and whines, gets the call reversed. Funny how every time MSU beats a better Illinois team there's always some BS angle, Ayo getting punched in the face. Best player on either side, KJ, has his minutes limited by foul trouble including two phantom calls.
  20. Will he spend the money this time? The time for uncertainty, timidity is over, if he wishes to be a GM beyond 2025, it's now or never.
  21. They did look good, I agree, being gifted 5 TO's didn't hurt.
  22. Also wouldn't be shocking if the clock strikes midnight on Daniels and the Commanders next week vs. the Eagles.
  23. If the Bears had taken Daniels there' not even the remotest possibility, under the same circumstances as Caleb, Daniels would have put up the same numbers. That Caleb did fairly well surrounded by absolute horsefeathers coaching and a joke of an offensive line speaks volumes. It gives me confidence with improved coaching and line Caleb will surpass Daniels.
  24. Mark my words Daniels will regress next season while Caleb ascends. Be it Ben Johnson or Mike McCarthy Caleb will excel under both, provided, of course, Poles fixes the line. It's not horsefeathers rocket surgery Poles, fix the horsefeathers line.
  25. Or, at the very least, the Cubs acted like the Dodgers of the NL Central.
